Horror Clown: The Face of Tomorrow?

You just knew it was going to happen. An ad would reflect the ghastly and shocking future we see right in front of us. Indeed, something wicked this way comes.

This is not your grandparents' kind of commercial.

    This is a tea commercial? You have got to be kidding me. That was horrifying. I suffer from PTSD and severe anxiety issues as well as constant nightmares. I'm not exaggerating when I say that simply watching that commercial put me on the verge of a panic attack.

  3. I wonder if Warner Bros know about this ad,because it is a blatant rip-off of the clown from the movie
    "IT",which is obviously who the ad makers are trying to cash in on.

    I'm surprised they don't call their tea "iTea" and cash in on the Apple brand as well.-)

    Not really because intentionally,or not,this ad triggers the subconscious,which really doesn't think things over too well.
    That's why the experts will tell you opposing ideas cannot be held at one and the same time.

    REASON IS EASILY OVERRULED BY IMAGINATION.
    Hence,at the end of this commercial when it says "Drown your fears" the subconscious has already been scared s#!+less for about 48 seconds of the 60 seconds of the commercial and the IT (.-) sees the words DROWN and FEAR,with the word YOUR hardly registering at all.

    Ask any good hypnotist about the effect this ad would have and I think you'll find they would say it is a good way to induce fear and not calm.

  6. i thought it was a fun ad, it had some "scary" movie bad guys and showed the tea bags dragging them under. I didn't find it disturbing at all.

    I didn't either,but the point is that there are a percentage of the population that will.
    It's a different situation to seeing a movie like this,if you want to rent a DVD or go to the cinema.
    But a commercial for general viewing is not a good idea.

    Like the Pokemon show that sent a heap of kids to hospital because of the flashing sequences.
    It had no effect on me,but to people susceptible to epilepsy it probably wasn't a show to be viewing casually on your TV.

  8. Oh yeah. Like anybody's really gonna buy this tea after seeing that.

    I didn't find it that scary, just really, really dumb advertising that does nothing to sell the product.

    But come on, "Call of Duty" is far more horrifying than this commercial. What's your body count for today?
