There is another synchrocinematic red dawn.
"Let this be the hour when we draw swords together. Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath, now for ruin, and the red dawn. Forth, Eorlingas!" ~ Theoden, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)Once again, I have mentioned before the meanings of Colorado (= red) and Aurora (= dawn).
But there it is, nevertheless.
Is it me, or do there seem to be less editorial cartoons that usual in the wake of this shooting?

Slate: "Whether movie theaters have any inherent qualities that might attract continued violence remains murky. If multiplex shootings do become a new meme for mass murderers, we’ll probably have the copycat effect to thank."
USA Today: "A 2004 book by Loren Coleman, The Copycat Effect: How the Media and Popular Culture Trigger the Mayhem in Tomorrow's Headlines provided a horrifying litany of examples in which media coverage of one killing has led to copycat killings. Sometimes the attention given to a teenage suicide leads to more teenage suicides. Often, the media attention given to a mass killer lead to more mass killings."
Red Dirt Report: "As Twilight Language’s Loren Coleman put it, 'The Aurora, Colorado shooting appears to be a "red dawn," a milestone awakening event of which we can only guess what it might really mean in the near and distant future.'
"Stay tuned."

“A red sun rises. Blood has been spilled this night.”

Visup, who clearly comprehends twilight language, said this week:
Meanwhile, the story unfolds. Or does it?
The latest James Holmes news is the discovery of a notebook that is “full of details" about how he was going "to kill people.”
Police and FBI agents were called to the University of Colorado Anschutz medical campus in Aurora on Monday morning after the psychiatrist, who is also a professor at the school, reported receiving a package believed to be from the suspect. Although that package turned out to be from someone else and harmless, a search of the Campus Services' mailroom turned up another package sent to the psychiatrist with Holmes’ name in the return address.
The name Aurora itself means 'dawn', while Colorado means 'red.' This has led several synch-watchers, most notably Loren Coleman, to revisit the notorious 1984 action film Red Dawn, which I've written briefly on before here. However the combination that Colorado and Aurora produces, red dawn, could just as easily be an allusion to the heliacal rising of Sirius as it is to the Milius film. When Sirius returned to visibility after a 70 day absence it appeared as red in the sky during the heliacal rising, thus producing a red dawn at the onset of the Dog Days.
As Visup hopefully also understands, it is not important to me if the expression is literally taken as an early morning, ruby first viewing of Sol (the offspring of Aurora)/the Sun, a synchrocinematic reference, or Sirius rising. What is more important, of course, is its metaphoric appearance in the context of our discussion here, of a "red dawn" being translated as an action resulting in major unknown cultural and societal change. Specifically and synchromystically, I have employed this definition here at Twilight Language:
"Red dawn event," a milestone manifestation of unfathomable future dimensions (July 24, 2012);
and
The Aurora, Colorado shooting appears to be a "red dawn," a milestone awakening event of which we can only guess what it might really mean in the near and distant future (July 22, 2012).
and
The Aurora, Colorado shooting appears to be a "red dawn," a milestone awakening event of which we can only guess what it might really mean in the near and distant future (July 22, 2012).
The strange graphic created, apparently, for the
even stranger site, "Guilty or Innocent? Take The Poll."
But other news sources are saying Holmes told officials to look for the package. Who knows?
Allegedly Holmes mailed this notebook to a University of Colorado psychiatrist at the Anschütz Medical Center before the attack. The date this notebook allegedly arrived? July 12th, Orange Day.
Anschütz?
The Anschütz Medical Campus is where the alleged shooter studied. The campus is located on a portion of the former Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. After the base was decommissioned in 1999, the campus became known as the Fitzsimons Medical Campus, or simply "Fitzsimons." The name of the portion of Fitzsimons that houses the university facilities was changed to its current name in 2006 after the (oil wealthy) Anschutz family donated $91 million to construct the Anschutz Centers for Advanced Medicine, which include the Anschutz Outpatient and Cancer Pavilions, and the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, all located on the campus.
The 2004 Democratic Party Presidential candidate John Kerry was born at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center on December 11, 1943. After playing 27 holes of golf on September 23, 1955, in Denver, President Dwight D. Eisenhower then had a massive heart attack in the wee hours of Saturday, September 24. It was at the Fitzsimons location where he recovered from his heart attack in 1955.
Anschütz is a North German name with an origin linked to an occupational name for someone whose job was to keep a dam or pool filled with water (German anschützen ‘to fill up’), especially a dam above a water channel serving a mill or mine. The surname is common in northern and eastern Germany.
Two different German gun manufacturers are Anschutz JGA and Anschutz Waffenfabrik Ulm Do, coincidentally.

Recent interviews, about the Aurora shootings:
Coming Soon:
(NY: Simon and Schuster, 2004)
I suspect the biggest impact of this event will be hastening the inevitable demise of the movie theater, which I will personally mourn because there's nothing comparable to seeing a blockbuster film on a giant screen with a sound system that makes your chest vibrate.
ReplyDeleteThis also will be an economic fairy godmother for Netflix as well as other outlets for online and broadcast on-demand movie streaming.
It will be the death of one medium and the coming of age of another.
It would be interesting to see if a graphologist studied Holmes' handwriting.
ReplyDelete@ purrlgurrl, that's on the hands of the American citizens. If they choose to live in fear, then public entertainment will receive a deadly blow. If on the other hand choose to overcome their fear, then you'll still get to enjoy a good movie on a giant screen.
I'm trying to find domestic box office figures for TDKR. It seems the 3rd movie is not doing as well as its predecessor, which is understandable considering many parents might have dissuaded their children to wait a bit longer, but there doesn't seem to be a huge difference either.
Looking back and seeing connections, I wonder what good it is? Your twilight language seems much less important at the moment than the copycat effect. As someone said: Knowledge is not awareness. All these little synchronicities and connecting of threads every which direction, I respectfully question what value it has. I don't see Aurora as a game changer at this point. Shooting rampages have been happening as we all know and in the larger scheme of things humans have been brutal to each other since the beginning of history.(Even the Batman movie: its a great movie, but the hype will die down, I think it's safe to say there are greater films with more emotion and humanity in them in the history of cinema) More importantly is seems we should be vigilant tomorrow and hopefully another insane person won't act out, because I have read your book and it's points are obviously valid. Hopefully nothing will happen. And at the risk of being long winded I'll add: of course synchronicity is a real phenomena, I just think we should have a more in depth understanding of what we are dealing with here and how it applies to real life events.
ReplyDeleteThose comic strips, Are total propaganda. Look up the how Here in America Public Relations has used propaganda over years. Start with Edward Bernays.
ReplyDeleteRed Pill . . . after the dark chaos of the second film (followed by the death of Heath Ledger who seemed unable to escape his character) a couple of friends indicated they had no intention of seeing another Nolan Batman film. I suspect that type of reaction to the second film coupled with what just happened might depress box office numbers.
ReplyDeleteBTW, applications for gun permits have skyrocketed this week in the county where I live, which isn't even in Colorado. Americans react to these events by ratcheting up their paranoia and buying weapons that their children think are toys and use to accidentally shoot themselves or a sibling (we've had several locally high profile cases of this in the past year).
Meanwhile, now I have to fear that some paranoid packing concealed fellow movie patron with an itchy finger will shoot me if I reach down to pick up some dropped popcorn. What a country.
Synchromysticism is fascinating. It explains things the subconscious sees and connects, things the conscious cannot put into words. I looked at the VISUP website and immediatey was struck by these words:
ReplyDelete" Officially twilight language is a polysemic language and communication system dealing with visual, verbal and nonverbal communications "
This immediately reminded me of the Dancing Lady in the 1992 David Lynch film "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me".
I think this is what the Dancing Lady is doing -- a communication system dealing with visual and nonverbal communication. Your explanation is important and explains things as well.
Here's a youtube clip of the scene

Fire Walk With Me Clip - The Dancing Girl
I'm convinced now that when an event happens and there are so many synchromystical cues and signals, that something is going on under the surface. I was never quite sure if it was all just conspiracy thinking. Now I am seeing deeper, and that it's not mere 'conspiracy thinking'. Between the Trickster gods at work and staged events 'by others', it's hard to say exactly what is at play here.
no search for synchronicity with "red dawn" would be complete without realizing that Aurora was the Russian warship from which the first shot in the October Revolution was fired in Leningrad.

I don't know how can so many people miss this.
Another Red Dawn synchro: the upcoming movie Last Days on Mars.
ReplyDelete"The shoot for Ruairi Robinson’s Last Days On Mars wrapped last week at Elstree Studios in England. Here’s the official blurb for the British-produced sci-fi:
"As their last day on Mars draws to a close, the astronaut crew is on the verge of a major breakthrough – collected rock specimens reveal microscopic evidence of life. Meanwhile, communication is underway with AURORA [emphasis mine], the approaching spacecraft that will relieve the crew of their operations. In their last hours on the planet, two astronauts go back to SITE 9, a cavernous valley on the surface of Mars, to collect further evidence of their discovery. But a routine excavation turns deadly when one of them falls to his death and his body taken host and re-animated by the very life form they sought to discover.""
Liev Schreiber stars in it. He played the role of Saber-tooth in the last Wolverine movie. The Wolverine connection, if you recall, has already been established.
Just so happens that I'm reading "Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future" by Fr. Seraphim Rose. He has a chapter on UFOs that is remarkable. Several of his citations from this section are from Jacques Vallee and John Keel (Operation Trojan Horse). His explanation for these events, while unapologetically Orthodox Christian, does indeed parallel the opinion that the stage is being set for a certain type of awakening.
ReplyDeleteI just posted about Aurora, CO, before I opened this article for the first time. My eyes opened wide as saucers when I saw the opening lines after The Two Towers quote. Two Towers remind me of the trunks of the legs in Ozymandias, which I'd just shared with someone...
