Strasbourg Christmas Market Shooting

Four persons have reportedly been killed (early accounts discussed two) and 11, 6 critically, in a shooting near the Christmas market in the French city of Strasbourg. It is the largest Christmas market in Europe, according to news accounts.

The killing took place at Place Kléber and surrounding locations, near the city’s Christmas market, which draws millions of tourists every year.  Early confusion was caused by the fact the gunman, known to police, shoot at different locations around the Christmas market area.

The interior minstry described the incident as a “serious security event” and warned the public to stay indoors.

This is located 20 minutes from the European Union Parliament in Strasbourg.

Traditionally, a huge fir tree (30 m) coming from the Vosges mountains is erected every year on the south west of the Place Kléber and inhabitants deposited gifts for the poors. During the Marché de Noël ("Christmas market"), the booths of 50 charitable associations make the Village du Partage ("village for sharing").

The suspect in the Strasbourg shooting has reportedly been identified as 29-year-old Cherif Chekatt. The name apparently is Arabic in origin, probably of Algerian/French.

New information was revealed Wednesday at a press conference by France’s anti-terror prosecutor Rémy Heitz who said that witnesses had observed the suspect yelling “Allahu Akbar” as he fired upon the crowd at the Strasbourg Christmas market on Tuesday evening.

He escaped by taxi, and, as of Wednesday, December 12, 2018, had not been captured.

On the evening of December 13, 2018, police found Chekatt in the area of Strasbourg between Neudorf and the Stade de la Meinau. He fired on officers when they tried to question him and they returned fire, killing him. Soon after his death, ISIL claimed him as one of their soldiers.

The first name of Place Kléber was Barfüsserplatz ("square of the barefoot nuns" in German: square of the bare-feet-goers because a Franciscan monastery was standing along the square).

In the 17th century the name changed to Waffenplatz ("arms square" in German).

On June 24, 1840 the square was finally renamed for the French general Jean-Baptiste Kléber, also going by "Kléberplatz" after German annexation.

During German occupation in 1940-1944, the place was renamed after Karl Roos, a local ethnically German politician executed by French authorities in 1940 on the charges of espionage for Germany.

After his assassination in 1800 in Cairo, the body of Jean-Baptiste Kléber, general during the French Revolutionary Wars born in Strasbourg in 1753, was repatriated to France. Napoleon, fearing that his tomb would become a symbol to Republicanism, ordered it to stay at the Château d'If, on an island near Marseille. It stayed there for 18 years until Louis XVIII granted him a burial place in his hometown in Strasbourg. He was buried on 15 December 1838 below his statue located in the middle of Place Kléber. His heart is in an urn in the caveau of the Governors beneath the altar of the St. John Chapel in Les Invalides, Paris.

The statue, designed by Philippe Grass, was finally completed in 1838.

In 1992...

On January 20, 1992 Air Inter Flight 148 crashed into the Vosges Mountains while circling to land at Strasbourg International Airport, killing 87 people.

In 2016....

A terrorist attack on December 19, 2016, at 20:02 local time, during which a truck was driven into the Christmas market next to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church at Breitscheidplatz in Berlin, left 12 people dead and 56 others injured. One of the victims was the truck's original driver, Łukasz Urban, who was found shot dead in the passenger seat. A suspect was arrested and later released due to lack of evidence. Another person, suspected to be the actual perpetrator, was killed four days later during a shootout with police near Milan in Italy. See more Christmas 2016 terrorist events, here and here. Trump Time Travels With Biff Tannan

On 11.18.18, President Donald Trump confused "Paradise" with "Pleasure," during a tour of the fire-hit California town.

It did not take long for folks to make the connection with predictive cinema. It truly does appear that the reality star Trump is trying to catch up with the fictional Trump-like character Biff Tannan, from Back to the Future (especially II) movies.

Now, in December 2018, the "typos" continue. Enter "smocking."

"Smockin" is an intentional misspelling of the catchphrase "smoking" uttered by the protagonist in the 1994 comedy film The Mask, which is often associated with a photograph of Jim Carrey's costumed stunt double from the film.

This lead to "smocking" memes. See here

Who knows where all this is going? Certainly, we've been down this Trump-Biff rabbit hole before.

Last spring, a thoughtful essay was written by Anadae Q. Effro. We have to be reminded that a script has already been written, that Biff is Trump, and synchronmysticism is a road map. Even Donnie Darko links it’s time travel to Back To The Future. And the original Blade Runner (1982) happens in 2019. Endgame.

Coming soon...Blade Runner (1982) foresees 2019.

Robert Zemeckis

As many know by now, the Back to the Future Part II director predicted Donald Trump as President, in the movie that appeared in 1989.

More telling, in 2015, Bob Gale, the writer of Back to the Future II, admitted that "Biff Tannen Is Based on Donald Trump."
...in the movie, Biff uses the profits from his 27-story casino (the Trump Plaza Hotel, completed in 1984, is 37 floors, by the way) to help shake up the Republican Party, before eventually assuming political power himself, helping transform Hill Valley, California, into a lawless, dystopian wasteland, where hooliganism reigns, dissent is quashed, and wherein Biff encourages every citizen to call him “America’s greatest living folk hero.”
“Yeah,” says Gale. “That’s what we were thinking about.” Source.

CH2 published "Every Single Donald Trump Film & TV Cameo" on Nov 14, 2015. Note that Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) appeared in Spin City with Donald J. Trump (a fictional Biff Tannen?).

This "lost tape" was published on November 13, 2010.
BTTF.com has recently uncovered a copy of the complete video monitor footage from the 'Biff Tannen Museum' scene in Back to the Future™ Part II which Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) watches at the museum's entrance while he's looking for answers about his father's demise. This never-before-seen clip is an extension of the material we briefly see on film, featuring some elaborate glimpses into Biff Tannen's (Tom Wilson) ill-gained rise to fame and power in Hill Valley. The 3½ minute segment was digitized from an old VHS tape which had been saved by a Back to the Future fan with family connections to the film production at the time the sequels were shot in 1989-1990. To date, the following clip is not available on any other commercial collection, including the recently released 25th Anniversary Trilogy Blu-ray Disc and DVD boxed sets.

Ant-Man: "Can you buzz me in?"

+++

December 7, 2018 is here.

I be on the lookout, my droogs, for heavy bezoomny #cryptokubrology action going down on the last day in the 237th month since Kubrick snuffed it. Have the #KubrickStare set with a lacty-free Moloko toast (sans Vellocet) at ready.

For some earlier background, see "Crytokubrology: Syncing Deaths." (h/t Alex Fulton)

Followup: Alex Fulton (@Crypto-kubrology on Twitter) posted late on 12.7.2018, these items (I am @CryptoLoren on Twitter):

"The Final Stand Against Thanos Begins in the First Trailer for Avengers 4"This is it @CryptoLoren—the long-awaited trailer for AVENGERS: ENDGAME released exactly 237 months after Kubrick's death—"ending" a month which saw the death of (among many others) Marvel mastermind Stan Lee, born exactly 2307 days before Stanley Kubrick.

"I don't know why it works, I just know it works. #cryptokubrology #midpoint #zenosparadox"

"Compare to INFINITY WAR, which released 4/27/18 or 999 weeks after Kubrick died (in 1999). If you check out these graphics I did last year, you see several incredible Crypto-K alignments regarding other Marvel films & crucial historical moments."

"The movie will in all likelihood involve the use of 'time-travel' to defeat the 'ultimate nemesis' Thanos. It will close the first chapter of the wildly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe masterminded by Stan Lee & Jack Kirby."

I posted this: "Endgame is the Beginning. Ant-Man is the key to open the door. Eemya Eegra = Name Game. Now the interim 12.8.2018-4.26.2019. @cryptokubrology #Cryptokubrology @MrPeytonReed ~ @CryptoLoren"

Forthcoming The Crow Producer Samuel Hadida Dies

Samuel Hadida, with over 70 producing credits, including the Resident Evil franchise, dies unexpectedly at 64, in Santa Monica, on November 27, 2018.

Who is in the background of this photo? Ridley Scott?

Born in Morocco, Hadida and his brother Victor have been credited with bringing popular American movies such as Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, David Fincher’s Seven and martial-arts pics starring Jean-Claude Van Damme to French theaters in the 1990s. Hadida was also well-known for his collaboration with Tony Scott (died August 19, 2012) on True Romance and Domino, with Constantin Film on the Resident Evil franchise, and with Christophe Gans on Silent Hill.

Hadida, his brother & father are cofounders/coowners of Metropolitan FilmExport (American indie distributor).

Please note Samuel Hadida was the lead producer of the reboot of The Crow, allegedly starrring Jason Momoa (Game of ThronesAquaman) - although rumors are Momoa has withdrawn from the project. Sony announced on 11/18/18 that they’ve set the new Crow movie release for 10/11/19. Hadida died suddenly on 11/27/18.

Hadida's death continues the die-off of major directors, writers, and producers during the 237th month since Stanley Kubrick's death. See Cryptokubrology: Syncing Deaths.

Mississippi's Killer Clowns

A barber shop owner was fatally shot by four men wearing clown masks on November 25, 2018, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Police said the shooting was reported about 1 p.m. outside Cut City Barber Shop on the corner of Bullard Street and Industrial Drive.
Officers found 41-year-old Marcus Hamblin sitting inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
***
According to a witness, four armed men in a dark sedan approached the victim and shots were fired. The suspects then fled the scene. Clarion Ledger.

The newspaper decided to use the Heath Ledger clown mask from The Dark Knight film.

Marcus is a masculine given name of Ancient Roman pre-Christian origin derived either from Etruscan Marce of unknown meaning(possibly from the Etruscan "mar" which means "to harvest"), or referring to the god Mars.

Hamblin is a name of ancient Norman origin. It arrived in England with the Norman Conquest of 1066. The Hamblin family lived in Gloucestershire. Their name, however, is local reference of Old French derivation. This surname, of English origin, is derived from the Anglo-Norman French given name "Ham(b)lin", a double diminutive of "Hammone", itself coming from the Norman personal name "Hamo(n)", which derives from the Germanic "Haimo", a short form of the various compound name with the first element "haim" meaning "home."
