Strip Mall Nazi Shooting

Houston lawyer wearing a Nazi uniform— evidently facing issues with his firm — opened fire near a strip mall, wounding nine people before he was shot dead by police, authorities said.

Shots rang out around 6:30 a.m. local time on September 26, 2016, in southwest Houston near an intersection's strip mall, with a grocery store, Walgreens and Chuck E. Cheese.

The attacker, identified by local media as 46-year-old local attorney Nathan Desai, used a tree near his car for cover as he exchanged gunfire with several officers in a nearby neighborhood before he was killed, officials said at an afternoon press conference.

Six people were hospitalized with gunshot wounds following the shooting — including one person in critical condition and another in serious condition. Three others had minor injuries from broken glass.

More Nazi material was found in the suspect's car.

2nd Macy's Mall Attack in Week

Two mass attacks - one a mass stabbing and the other a mass shooting - have taken place within a week in two separate shopping malls' Macy's.

On September 23, 2016, at around 7:00 p.m., an allegedly "Hispanic appearing" man carrying a rifle entered the Macy's at the Cascade Mall, Burlington, Washington State. He opened fire, resulting in the eventual deaths of four women and one man. He was not captured or shot.

The suspect is still at large.

On September 17, 2016, a mass stabbing occurred at the Crossroads Center shopping mall in St. CloudMinnesota. Ten people were injured, and the attacker was shot dead inside the mall by an off-duty law enforcement officer.

Edit

At about 8:15 on the evening of September 17, an individual began stabbing patrons inside the Crossroads Center shopping mall. Before the spree ended, ten people were injured, three of whom were hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds. Reports said the attacker made references to Allah and asked at least one person if they were Muslim.shot aThe attacker was shot and killed inside the mall's Macy's store by Jason Falconer, an off-duty police officer from nearby Avon, Minnesota.

Edit

The attacker was identified as Dahir A. Adan, age 22, a member of St. Cloud's Somali-American community who was born in Kenya and moved to the U.S. at the age of two. Adan was described by a community spokesman as having no record of violence, and as a good student throughout his educational career at Apollo High School. He had last attended St. Cloud State University in the spring of 2016.

NY Bombing: Of Chelsea and 23

The Chelsa dumpster has the number 1323 on its side. This is dumpster in which the bomb exploded on 23rd Street. The pressure cooker bomb No. 2 was found on 27th Street.

Let me share a comment from Tom Mellett:

One name for the game and several synchropinquities to note and finally a number coincidence.

The name is of course Chelsea, since the one bomb exploded on 23rd St between 6th and 7th Aves in Manhattan and the second one was discovered on 27th St in the neighborhood of Manhattan known as Chelsea. It might seem too obvious to link the Chelsea neighborhood with the person Chelsea Clinton, but that's where the first close synchropinquity comes in.

You see, Chelsea Clinton lives just 1/3 of a mile from the first blast – as the Google Maps crow flies. In NYC distance reckoning, we speak of blocks, so she lives just 3 blocks north and 2 blocks East of the bomb blast. (My own leeway for a true synchropinquity is a half mile, so she is well within that zone.)
Chelsea herself does not live in Chelsea, but in the area known as the Flatiron District, so named for the iconic Flatiron Building, whose cross section resembles the acute right triangle of the old fashioned flatiron used to iron clothes before the electric steam iron came along. It is located E-W between 5th Ave. and Broadway, and N-S between 22nd and 23rd St, with its sharp point looking north.
Its address 175 5th Ave, New York, NY 10010
Let us now locate the 3 points on the map that, when connected by the Measure Distance tool on Google Maps (Right Click Menu), creates an acute triangle that looks eerily similar to the triangle of the Flatiron Building

[1] site of exploded bomb outside 131 West 23 St., NY, NY 10011
[2] site of unexploded bomb outside 135 West 27 St.NY, NY 10011
[3] Chelsea Clinton's address: 21East 26th St., NY, NY 10010
Finally, the number coincidence is 23.
The bomb blast took place on West 23rd St, just 1/4 mile from the “apex” of the Flatiron Building on East 23rd St.

For starters, I give you the wiki for the “23 enigma,” inspired by the chapter in the Robert Anton Wilson book Cosmic Trigger I: The Final Secret of the Illuminati.

23 is a number associated with the Greek goddess, Eris --- in Latin: Discordia, the goddess of strife and chaos.

PS Almost forgot! Chelsea's home was in the news last week, since her mother Hillary went there in lieu of a hospital ER after her fainting spell at the 9/11 memorial.

Ahmad Khan Rahami: Class Clown

Long before Ahmad Rahami became notorious as the suspect in this weekend’s bombings in and around New York, his family was known in Elizabeth, New Jersey, for frequent skirmishes with neighbors over its fried chicken restaurant.
Authorities capture Ahmad Khan Rahami after a shootout Monday, September 19, 2016, with police in Linden, New Jersey.

Rahami, a 28-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Afghanistan, had a few other brushes with the law on his own, records show.
Described as a “class clown” by a high school classmate, he studied criminal justice before dropping out of a community college. Source.

September Attacks?

Investigators in the US are trying to find out if the New York City bombing, a St. Cloud, Minnesota mass stabbing and a Seaside Park, New Jersey pipe bomb blast are linked to terrorism.

I'm on the road, traveling. I'll be posting about these events mid-week, and perhaps more details will be available, as well.

Willy Wonka Syncs

Steve L. writes: "Is it me -- or there some weird kind of Willy Wonka sync going on with this election cycle? A lot of people think Trump looks like an orange Oompa-Loompa, and I just noticed that Hillary Clinton dresses like the girl that is turned into a giant blue berry --- violet beauregarde."

In the remake the new Violet Beauregarde is a blonde like Hillary.

Steve L. continues:

If you think about it Willy Wonka is very Similar to Pied Piper Myth ---- a Mysterious character who lures children with Candy, instead of a pipe. Also, the ChildCatcher (screenplay by Roald Dahl) is kind of Pied Piper character as well --- leading children into danger.

The Child Catcher did not appear in Ian Fleming's novel, but was created by Roald Dahl, who wrote the screenplay for the film. The Child Catcher's song, Kiddy Widdy Winkies, was created for the 2002 stage version which enjoyed a smash hit run at the London Palladium, before going on tour.
Originally played by ballet dancer Sir Robert Helpmann in the 1967 film, the character has been voted the scariest children's villain and came in at No.37 in Channel 4's 100 Scariest Movie Moments.
Christopher follows the likes of Richard O'Brien, Paul O'Grady and Boyzone star Stephen Gateley in the stage role.
"I'm still getting into my stride so I can't say exactly how I'll be playing him, but I can say that's he's thoroughly nasty with no redeeming features," says Christopher. "The Child Catcher is everyone's worst fear, I spoke to someone the other day who she said she'd never really recovered from watching him in the film as a child.
"I once played Abanaza in panto and I got letters from parents saying You should tone it down, you've terrorised my child.' But children love being terrified, we all do."
The Child Catcher works for villainous Baron Bomburst but Christopher reckons he has ulterior motives. "I've been wondering what the Child Catcher actually does to these children once he's caught them. He makes them vanish, there's no trace of them. I think he eats them."
Well, I wouldn't put it past him. He's a horrible but fascinating creature, the kind that only Roald Dahl could create.
"He reminds me of Nosferatu, a sinister, pale, wiry figure hiding in the dark," says Christopher. "In the film he was a Pied Piper figure. He lures children into his wagon by tempting them with sweets so I suppose they're not too scared initially. Although realistically, I don't think any child would go anywhere near him, especially in this day and age."

Phantom Clowns: Greensboro + Green Name Game

 I

First there were a Stalking Clown seen in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at the beginning of August 2016.

Then late in August, into the first half of September 2016, Phantom Clowns made appearances in Greenville, South Carolina; Green Havel, Alamance County, North Carolina; Greensboro, North Carolina; and now Greensboro, Alabama.

"Green" is, in addition to a Masonic one (Macon, Fayettevile, LaGrange), certainly a Name Game thread throughout. As seen below, the mapping as been incomplete and inconsistent.

From Travis Vaughn, Editor:
Amid social media rumors of “creepy clowns” lurking around Tuscaloosa and Hale counties (Alabama), Greensboro Police Chief Mike Hamilton said Thursday morning, Sept. 15, that a woman called that morning to report “someone dressed in a clown suit” in a mobile home park on North Street in Greensboro. The woman told police she was walking with her children before school when she saw the person. No threatening behavior was reported, according to Hamilton.
So far, no reports have been made with Moundville Police, and we are awaiting responses from both the City of Tuscaloosa Police Department and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
Clown sightings have been reported throughout the Southeast over the last few weeks, with the initial reports coming from the Carolinas. Facebook posts about the sightings in west Alabama increased Wednesday, Sept. 14. Some reported clowns simply making appearances in public, but others claimed clowns were trying to lure kids into vans.
Acting Chief Keith Burch with the Moundville Police Department said citizens should, as always, take responsibility for the safety of themselves and their families and report any suspicious activity to the police. He also urged citizens to use common sense and consider that some of the sightings may simply be harmless pranksters.
We will follow this story and will update as circumstances warrant. We will have a full update in the Sept. 21 edition of the Moundville Times.

Furthermore, there was a clown-related clown school closure:

FLOMATON, AL (WALA) -

Flomaton schools were put on lockdown for more than an hour Thursday morning, September 15, 2016 after school officials said a threat was made against a student on social media.  The source of the threat came from a Facebook page featuring clowns.   That had the whole community talking and the FBI involved.

“You don’t take it lightly.  That’s my gut feeling.  You know, you just have to be cautious these days,” said the grandmother of one student.

“Yeah, I’m worried.  I’ve never heard of such a thing as that,” said another.

That summed up how parents and grandparents were reacting Thursday morning after the two schools in Escambia County went on lockdown and others had stepped up police patrols.

School officials said a student received a serious threat through the Facebook page, Flomo Klown.  That, coupled with supposed clown sightings and pictures circulating in the county over the last couple of days heightened those concerns.

Some of the early mapping:

UK's The Sun published a map showing other sites for clown sightings.

Some of the humor is certainly less than funny to those reporting the clowns.

Phantom Clowns: Alabama

A reporter associate writes me: "I'm investigating rumors of clown sightings in Tuscaloosa and Hale counties, Alabama."

"Of course, along the 33 degrees line..."

Active reports are coming in from elsewhere in the state:
Chief Deputy Ronnie Williamson says the McDuffie County Sheriff's Office has received two calls reporting clown sightings in the county. At 11:46 p.m. on Sept. 11, a caller reported seeing a clown standing on the side of State highway 221 between Hobbs Road and the Jefferson County line. And on Sept. 13 at 6:37 a.m., a caller reported at clown chasing children from a school bus stop in the area around Davis Circle.
"Both of them were running, he's like 'mom mom there's a man chasing us in all black and a clown suit,'" said Caris Frails, who called the police after the sightings.
Frails couldn't believe what she was hearing from her kids. Two people -- dressed as clowns, standing near the bus stop, scaring kids.
"There are these sightings out about clowns here, clowns there, but when it hits close to home, that's a whole different story," said Frails.
Frails called the McDuffie County Sheriff's Office and they are taking the report very seriously. The school board and sheriff's office both monitoring
the stop until further notice.
"We didn't think it would happen in McDuffie County but it seems like it has," said Major Ronnie Williamson.
Major Williamson says even if these clowns are just clowning around, it could wind up with someone getting seriously hurt, as people try to protect themselves.
"It's going on throughout the country it seems like, and what could be an innocent scare could lead to someone getting hurt," said Major Williamson.
One mom at the bus stop this morning says she couldn't make out a description since it was dark out, but they were there.
"We came out right here, and the clowns were standing right here behind this house and they were scaring the kids," said Brenna Dove.
Frails will be taking her kids to the bus stop herself from now on.

"When you get to my kids, and they were as terrified as they was this morning, you have crossed the line," said Frails.
Chief Deputy Williamson says the sheriff's office is taking the sightings seriously and will press criminal charges once the suspect or suspects are caught.
In the state of Georgia, it is illegal to wear a mask, hood or any other device that conceals the person's identity while in public or on private property without the owner's permission. Source

Logan

Something bizarre is going to happen related to the name "Logan," because it always does. Perhaps not as often as "Fayette," "Lafayette," "Fayetteville," and "Lafayetteville," but "Logan" is worth noting.

In the 1970s, in Fortean Times, I first wrote an article about the "name game." I then extended my thoughts on this matter in my book Mysterious America (starting in 1983, through the revised edition of 2007), I highlighted in one chapter, the "Name Game," adding to the historically gathered examples.

I had first noted,
...devils' names and Fortean places. The fact that some areas had strange and weird vibrations or events connected to them gave Native Americans and later settlers enough evidence to actually label these locales after the Ruler of Hell. In America, the use of the name "devil" regarding certain geographical fixtures, therefore, gives some indication of a history of mystery surrounding these spots.
Needless to say, through my other books and this Twilight Language blog, the "name game" has been revisited often.

In Gaelic the meaning of the name Logan is "from the hollow." In Scottish, the meaning is sometimes translated as "Finnian's servant."

I pinpointed Logan as a "power name" in my 1983 (rev. 2007) book.
"Logan" is another one of those words. Rocking logan stones are a part of ancient megalithic research. My brother [Jerry Dale] and I interviewed the Lowe family about the big birds' attempted abduction of Marlon from their front yard, in Logan County, Illinois. Another Logan County, this one in Colorado, has had an unusually high number of cattle mutilations and one 1975 mystery helicopter report. Logan County, Colorado, also has had an 1897 airship account, as has Logan, Ohio. Loganville, Wisconsin, sits but a stone's throw from the woods around Baraboo, said to be haunted by ghost elephants. A lake monster supposedly made an 1835 appearance in Logansport, Indiana. Logan Peak, near Huntsville, Alabama, the location of UFO, Bigfoot and mystery explosion reports, is a short distance north of Hobbs [="devil's"] Island. Logan, Kansas, saw some unexplained bird deaths in 1978. Logan, Utah was frequented by UFOs during the late 1940s and early 1950s. A May 1, 1954, flash of light was followed by an explosion and huge crater in Logan, Utah. In the 1980s, women were disappearing from Boston's Logan Airport and thus ending this list unended. Mysterious America: The Ultimate Guide to the Nation's Weirdest Wonders, Strangest Spots, and Creepiest Creatures, NY: Simon and Schuster, 2007.
It was on St. John's Day, June 24, 1980, when locals had several Bigfoot sightings, in Logan and Union counties, Ohio. Logan County, Ohio was the site of a past school shooting, as well. Scott Moody, 18, just hours away from graduating from high school, fatally shot three family members (his grandparents and mother), two friends and himself on Sunday, May 29, 2005, in rural Bellefontaine, Ohio - Logan County.

In 2014, the Logan name under a synchronicity microscope was Logan airport due to Ebola in Boston, a killing in a community with that name in Utah, and other Logan incidents. The Year 2015 ended with a horrible killing of a young child named Logan.

What's in the wind now? Something presidential on the horizon?

Phantom Clown: Macon + LaGrange

Correspondent Jim Brandon (The Rebirth of Pan) writes:

Well, we had a Fayette episode so how about something explicitly Masonic? Phantom clowns were reported in Macon, Georgia.

I have written about this part of the name game often, as Macon is the French for Mason, and the use of that name is an overt Masonic naming of the landscape, just as much as Lafayette, Washington, and a number of other power names. I grew up in Macon County, Decatur, Illinois, so my decoding experience with "Macon" is firsthand.

After the organization of Bibb County in 1822, the city was chartered as the county seat in 1823 and officially named Macon. This was in honor of the North Carolina statesman Nathaniel Macon, because many of the early settlers in Georgia hailed from North Carolina. Macon was the 5th Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, under President Thomas Jefferson.

Nathaniel Macon

Nathaniel Macon, a Freemason, was the son of Maj. Gideon Macon (1715–1761) and Priscilla Jones (1718 – March 1802). Nathaniel’s father’s parents were John Macon (December 17, 1695 – March 31, 1752) and Ann Hunt (1697 – February 15, 1725), both of Virginia. Nathaniel’s paternal great-grandparents were Col. Gideon Macon (c. 1648 – February 1701 or 1702) and Martha Woodward (1665–1723). Gideon and Martha Woodward Macon were also the great-grandparents of Martha Dandridge who married George Washington and became First Lady of the United States of America. Therefore, Nathaniel Macon was the second cousin of Martha Dandridge Washington.  In Masonic circles, Major John Mason held several offices in the grand lodge. Most, if not all, the Macon men in the ancestral line were all Masons down through the 20th century.

Freemasons use Mason names to name locations to honor other Masons, thus Macon, Georgia was named after Nathaniel Macon.

Brandon continues, regarding Macon, Georgia, with these insights:
The really interesting aspect is the geographic since Macon is just a few miles south of the 33-degree latitude line. But also – ta-dah! – abt 50 miles west on the line is Warm Springs and the Little White House where 33-degree Mason FDR use to go (all the way from DC by train no less) for rest cures. And even FDR died there in 1945 under strange circumstances, according to crime writer Emanuel Josephson.
The essence of the Phantom Clowns reported from Macon, Bibb County, Georgia are that several reports developed when four children at a bus stop or walking to school said they saw some clowns bothering them.

It happened on Tuesday morning, September 13, 2016, near Elkan Avenue. Three clowns were reported by Aisha Thompson, after her children ran home.

“If it’s a joke, it’s not funny. If you think this is something to play with, don’t. Take it serious,” said Thompson. "They're still shaken up. My oldest daughter, she's the big sister of all four of them, she's shaking in her jacket. When I was hugging her she was shaking and she's in the mentor's program, on the softball team, and JLC. She doesn't want to go to school and my children love school."

Thompson's youngest son, Marlon Patterson, said the clowns were wearing face paint and were shining lasers as they ran out of the woods and up and down the street.

"I was very scared, I started crying, I didn't know how we were gonna get home so we just tried to go to everybody we could to get a ride and one lady gave us one," said Patterson.

Thompson said her children have also received friend requests on Facebook with clowns as their profile pictures.

"I don't know if it's something they're doing just to scare them or if it's something serious, but I would rather be safe than sorry," said Thompson.

“They saw a laser light. When we were having our discussion about this yesterday, it was mentioned that they would be in the woods shining one of those lasers to get the children’s attention, so they said they started to walk fast and as they approached the woods they came out and they took off running,” she continued.

Lt. Randy Gonzalez with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says, “We’d like to find out who they are because we don’t want them giving small children impressions that clowns are scary because we as adults growing up know that clowns to us were not scary.”

“Kids think they’re going to school is their job. They’re unable to perform their job correct, having fear,” said concerned mother Teria Davis.

Thompson says her younger child attends Southfield Elementary which is nearby the area. She adds she will have to take her kids to school on her own until this issue is resolved.

It was reported that the clowns came from bushes and abandoned houses near Elkan Avenue and Dapleton Drive.

Some of the kids who reported the clown sighting to authorities also reported that they received Facebook messages from people dressed as clowns saying "I will find you."

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said this is the first report of clown sightings in the area, though Tuesday morning's witnesses told deputies that the sightings had been going on for the past few days in the "bottom side" of Bloomfield.

Just in...also from Georgia and also Masonic.

Tom Mellett passes along a news story from LaGrange, Georgia about someone on Facebook threatening to become a creepy clown and abduct children - for Tuesday, September 13, 2016.

LaGrange Police are working to get warrants to track down the person threatening to dress like a clown and abduct children from specific schools.
Lt. Dale Strickland told 11Alive News someone started a Facebook Page (which has since been taken down) threatening to dress like a clown and drive a white van to Callaway Elementary, Franklin Forrest Elementary, Callaway Middle School, Troup High School, and Callaway High School and abduct children. Strickland says that threat is a clear violation of the law. The department is working to obtain warrants that will help them track down who posted the threats.
Stickland said there were no spottings of the creepy clown, but the police department was flooded with calls from concerned parents. The police department posted a message on Facebook: "This behavior is not cute or funny... if applicable, you may face charges."

LaGrange turns out to be a Masonic Name Game just as much as Macon. I made the discovery a few years ago that LaGrange is an associated hot name, due to the fact the name Chateau de LaGrange was the French home of the Marquis de Lafayette, evolved during the last thirty years of our writings and mutual exchange on the subject. The Fayette Factor strikes again.

Phantom Clown incident now have come from South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, and Georgia.

Phantom Clowns: The Politics of Hillary

In the wake of my discussions of Phantom Clowns, Donald Trump, and clown headlines, it appears that Hillary Clinton is now in line with a none-to-subtle linking to an infamous clown, Cavity Sam.

On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, due to Clinton's 9/11 health incident, the New York Post has published a political cartoon headline entitled "Illary."

It is a direct use of the 1965 "skills game" Operation.

Wikipedia has this introduction to the game and its history:
Operation is a battery-operated game of physical skill that tests players' hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. The game's prototype was invented in 1964 by John Spinello, a University of Illinois industrial design student at the time, who sold his rights to the game to Milton Bradley for a sum of USD $500 and the promise of a job upon graduation. Initially produced by Milton Bradley in 1965, Operation is currently made by Hasbro, with an estimated franchise worth of USD $40 million.
The game is a variant on the old-fashioned electrified wire loop game popular at funfairs around the United States. It consists of an "operating table", lithographed with a comic likeness of a patient (nicknamed "Cavity Sam") with a large red lightbulb for his nose. In the surface are a number of openings, which reveal cavities filled with fictional and humorously named ailments made of plastic. The general gameplay requires players to remove these plastic ailments with a pair of tweezers without touching the edge of the cavity opening. Source.

"Cavity Sam" with his bright red nose is straight from the clown world of midways and carnivals.

A midway at a fair (commonly an American fair such as a county or state fair) is the location where carnival games, amusement rides, entertainment and fast-food booths cluster.
The term originated from the World's Columbian Exposition held in Chicago, Illinois, in 1893. It was the first world's fair with an area for amusements which was strictly separated from the exhibition halls. This area, which was concentrated on the city's Midway Plaisance, included amusement rides (among them the original Ferris Wheel), belly dancers, balloon rides, and other attractions.
After the Exposition, the term midway came into use as a common noun in the United States and Canada to refer to the area for amusements at a county or state fair, circus, festival, or amusement park. Source.

The "Cavity Sam" character is merely a clown from a carnival transformed into a midway patient.

Individuals attempting to duplicate the game as a Halloween costume use the red-clown-nose as part of their outfit.

The game has evolved, appeared in many editions, and been used for many meanings.

And used, in recent years, for political commentary.

But the New York Post was not the first to use Operation as a way to discuss Hillary Clinton.

Political cartoonist Ben Garrison did an earlier version of the Operation Skills Game cartoon with Hillary Clinton as the subject.

All uses of Operation link back to its "clown" origins, and in the year of the Phantom Clowns, this makes sense.
