Al Aqsa Mosque, Notre Dame, and Tsogyelgar Burn

As the iconic cathedral of Notre Dame (below) burned in Paris, a fire broke out at the historic Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem (see above).

The burning of Notre Dame in Paris.

The world became an aesthetically poorer place. Here are a few of the murals lost to fire at Tsogyelgar when the shrine room burnt to the ground [on April 15, 2019].
It took my good friend B Love Davis 10 hrs a day for a whole year to complete the 100 feet of murals. These are all presentations of that which can never be lost; but even so, for now, the heart feels desperately sad. ~ Namo Saraswati.

The Tsogyelgar Dharma Center is a Vajrayana Buddhist community, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, since 1990. Traktung Rinpoche (Traktung Yeshe Dorje, a Tantric Master and Nyingma Lama) is the founder of the community. Located on the property is a rare Dorje Trollo stupa.

The Palestine fire broke out at the roof of a structure known as the Al Marwani prayer room in Al Aqsa mosque. The prayer room is an underground vaulted space used as a Muslim prayer hall, some 600 square yards in area, at the bottom of stairs which lead down from Al Aqsa Mosque. Al Marwani prayer room is located underneath the southeastern corner of Haram Al-Sharif, which contains both the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque.

No significant damage was caused by the fire, but it did endanger a part of the worship site that is over 2,000 years old.

The Palestine News Agency cited a guard as saying Monday, April 15, 2019, that “the fire broke out in the guard’s room outside the roof of the Marwani Prayer Room, and the fire brigade of Jerusalem Islamic Waqf handled the matter successfully.”

The Dome of the Rock/Al Aqsa Mosque

Al-Aqsa Mosque (Arabic: ٱلْـمَـسْـجِـد الْاَقْـصَى‎, translit. Al-Masjid al-Aqṣā: "the Farthest Mosque"), located in the Old City of Jerusalem, is the third holiest site in Islam. The mosque was built on top of the Temple Mount, known as Haram esh-Sharif in Islam. Muslims believe that Muhammad was transported from the Sacred Mosque in Mecca to al-Aqsa during the Night Journey. Islamic tradition holds that Muhammad led prayers towards this site until the 17th month after his migration from Mecca to Medina, when Allāh directed him to turn towards the Kaaba in Mecca.

Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1187

The covered mosque building was originally a small prayer house erected by Umar, the second caliph of the Rashidun Caliphate, but was rebuilt and expanded by the Umayyad caliph Abd al-Malik and finished by his son al-Walid in 705 CE. The mosque was completely destroyed by an earthquake in 746 and rebuilt by the Abbasid caliph al-Mansur in 754. It was rebuilt again in 780. Another earthquake destroyed most of al-Aqsa in 1033, but two years later the Fatimid caliph Ali az-Zahir built another mosque whose outline is preserved in the current structure. The mosaics on the arch at the qibla end of the nave also go back to his time.

During the periodic renovations undertaken, the various ruling dynasties of the Islamic Caliphate constructed additions to the mosque and its precincts, such as its dome, facade, its minbar, minarets and the interior structure. When the Crusaders captured Jerusalem in 1099, they used the mosque as a palace and the Dome of the Rock as a church, but its function as a mosque was restored after its recapture by Saladin in 1187. More renovations, repairs and additions were undertaken in the later centuries by the Ayyubids, Mamluks, Ottomans, the Supreme Muslim Council, and Jordan. Today, the Old City is under Israeli control, but the mosque remains under the administration of the Jordanian/Palestinian-led Islamic Waqf.

Notre Dame in 1160

The cathedral was begun in 1160 under Bishop Maurice de Sully and was largely complete by 1260, though it was modified frequently in the ensuing centuries. In the 1790s, Notre-Dame suffered desecration during the French Revolution; much of its religious imagery was damaged or destroyed. In 1804, the cathedral was the site of the Coronation of Napoleon I as Emperor of France, and witnessed the baptism of Henri, Count of Chambord in 1821 and the funerals of several presidents of the Third French Republic.

Popular interest in the cathedral blossomed soon after the publication, in 1831, of Victor Hugo's novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. This led to a major restoration project between 1844 and 1864, supervised by Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, who added the cathedral's iconic spire.

The mosque is located in close proximity to historical sites significant in Judaism and Christianity, most notably the site of the Second Temple, the holiest site in Judaism. As a result, the area is highly sensitive, and has been a flashpoint in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.

Al-Masjid al-Aqsa translates from Arabic into English as "the farthest mosque". The name refers to a chapter of the Quran called Al-Isrā’ (Arabic: ٱلْإِسْـرَاء‎), "The Night Journey"), in which it is said that Muhammad travelled from Mecca to "the farthest mosque," and then up to Heaven on a heavenly creature called al-Burāq ash-Sharīf.

Al Aqsa Mosque, Notre Dame, Tsogyelgar, and April 15

April 15, 2019, began the day with Peter Buttigieg news stories of his announcement for President. It did not end that way.

Cryptokubrology Meets Bigfoot

Cryptokubrology: A useful methodology for deconstructing cinema, history, and synchronicity. Involves the syncs of Stanley Kubrick's films linked to items found in other realities.

The Shining is a 1980 horror film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick and co-written with novelist Diane Johnson. The film is based on Stephen King's 1977 novel of the same name.

The Shining is about Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson), an aspiring writer and recovering alcoholic, who accepts a position as the off-season caretaker of the isolated historic Overlook Hotel in the Colorado Rockies. Wintering over with Jack are his wife Wendy Torrance (Shelley Duvall) and young son Danny Torrance (Danny Lloyd). Danny possesses "the shining," psychic abilities that allow him to see the hotel's horrific past.

One very infamous scene involves Wendy Torrance's sudden discovery of a man in a work suit in a compromising position with an apparent man or woman in a bear suit.

In Stephen King's book version of this interaction, the suit is of a dog. Rob Ager's analysis of the scene notes that he believes that "a shift from dog to bear costume doesn’t have any significant effect on the aesthetic scariness of the scene, so there must have been some sort of logic at work in Kubrick’s decision." (Source.)

Enter Bigfoot....

Whether by coincidence or by design, an internal mirroring presentation of the "form" of the bear-in-front-of-a-man appeared in an ad for an Animal Planet program in 2011. In 2010, during the photographic sessions for the pilot of Finding Bigfoot, a series of images  were taken in Alaska.

A few of these were chosen to be used for the promotion of this series that would go on to be successful for 100 episodes, from 2011 through 2018. The show has ended, so I shall report on a cryptokubrology image that was there from the beginning.

The four hosts (Ranae Holland, Matt Moneymaker, James "Bobo" Fay, and Cliff Barackman) were presented in poses reflecting their investigative fieldwork.

But if examined closely, was someone in the public relations department playing a little cryptokubrology prank?

Was what was going on at Animal Planet some sort of Disneyesque covert message? It is a well-known historical fact that cartoonists working at Disney would hide subliminal messages and sexual images hidden in Disney cartoons.

Or was the Finding Bigfoot-The Shining overlap just a cosmic coincidence?

Certainly, in the realm of jokes and politics, The Shining bear imagery has been used to convey an editorial or comic point of view.

Another Cryptokubrology-Bigfoot sidetrek...

Over on Twitter, in 2017, we find this "237"/Kubrick moment:

That is why it is called twilight language.

Viva Las Vegan and 91

On October 1, 2017, a gunman shot at the Route 91 Harvest Festival country music concert - with 22,000 audience members - in Las Vegas. The death toll was 58 people killed, over 500 injured, plus the suicide of the gunman. Police report the shooter, Stephen Paddock, 64, of Mesquite, Nevada, who was holded up on the 32th floor in the Mandalay Hotel, died by suicide. The setting was bizarre, next to the Luxor Casino and Hotel, with its Sphinx and Pyramid in plain view.

As of mid-January 2018, the event is still discussed, and syncs are being revealed as they come into people's awareness.

As some have noted, Blade Runner 2049, which was released widely in the US on October 6, 2017, the Las Vegas shooting impacted earlier openings. Blade Runner 2049 premiered on October 3, 2017 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, although following the 2017 Las Vegas Strip shooting, the red carpet events were cancelled prior to the screening.

One of the surprises of Blade Runner 2049 is that the character Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) is not in the wilderness of the North, but instead is living in the ruins of Las Vegas, after a nuclear event. He is tracked there by agent K.

Another movie, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which came out around the same time as Blade Runner 2049 had a Las Vegas link too.

During the movie [Kingsman: The Golden Circle] they were at a concert/festival with a pyramid in the background. Source

20th Century Fox originally scheduled Kingsman: The Golden Circle for a summer release date of June 16, 2017 but pushed the film back to October 6, 2017. The film was then moved up to September 20 in the United Kingdom and September 22, 2017 in the United States likely to avoid competition with Blade Runner 2049. The film had an IMAX release.

The code the drug dealer gives the Kingsman at the end of the movie, to save the millions of infected people was: "Viva Las Vegan." Source

‘Viva Las Vegas’ celebarates Vegas, a place of pleasure, where, commonly, you will find a lot of drug and alcohol use, strippers and gluttonous behaviour. All these things are unhealthy and can be dangerous. By using the phrase ‘Viva Las Vegan’ Poppy presents a juxtapositon, as veganism is associated with celebrating healthy eating, being anti -hypocritcal and compassionate. Therefore, perhaps Poppy’s message was that we celebrate the wrong things in society and we should be focussing on being less hypocritcal with our actions. After all, her life ended on a high and this could be owing to the fact she accepted her own hypocracy.
...it was actually the phrase ‘viva las vegan’ that saved humanity. Coincidence? I THINK NOT. Source.

The expression "Viva Las Vegan" is associated with Las Vegas casino owner Steve Wynn, as noted in this 2010 articles, here and here.

Near the end of the movie I noticed the number 91 on the black bowling ball. It reminded me of the 91 logo on the Vegas Route 91 festival signs. Source.

The trivia is intriguing:
During the final fight between Eggsy and Charlie, Charlie picks up a bowling ball numbered '91,' which references 1991 as the fictional birth year of Eggsy.
Both Julianne Moore and Emily Watson starred in a movie about Hannibal Lecter. Moore starred in Hannibal (2001) as Detective Clarice Starling and Watson starred in Red Dragon (2002) as Reba McClane.
Poppy's compound features a bowling alley. Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges appeared together in The Big Lebowski (1998), in which Bridges's character frequents a bowling alley.  Source.

Synchromystic Of The Year 2016: Joe Alexander

Back to the Future Predicts 9/11's filmmaker Joe Alexander.

The Twilight Language is giving its Third Annual "Synchromystic Of The Year" Award to Joe Alexander on December 15, 2016. The annual honor is bestowed upon a deserving individual who has contributed to the broad dissemination of a better understanding of the objectives and goals underpinning the field of synchromysticism.
"Synchromysticism: The art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance." ~ Jake Kotze, The Brave New World Order, August 18, 2006.
The filmmaker Joe Alexander produced Back to the Future Predicts 9/11 and released it via YouTube on July 27, 2015, under his moniker "barelyHuman11." As of December 2016, it has been viewed over 2,997,000 times.
==============================

===============================

The Atlantic on the real October 21, 2015, which as a fictional date is well-known to Back to the Future trilogy students, observed:
A 12-minute video that’s making the rounds this week claims the 1985 film Back to the Future contains a coded message warning of the 9/11 attacks. The gist of this theory: Twin Pines mall, where one of the movie's main characters is attacked by terrorists, is meant to represent the Twin Towers. (There's also something about how film is a portal to transcendence.) The name of the group that made the video, Apophenia Productions, seems appropriate. Apophenia refers to the tendency to perceive a pattern among unrelated or random ideas or objects.
It is all about time, symbols, and foreshadowing.
Back to the Future Predicts 9/11 is a dizzying watch, full of big breath statements like, "Zemeckis, a pre-cogging conduit, channels the 9/11 archetype with his tower strike Twin Pines terror attack cinematic superimposition, both scenes featuring the transdimensional portal, pointing to 9/11 as the archetype of transcendence."
...Short films like Back to the Future Predicts 9/11 are playful exercises in pattern recognition, searching out meaningful coincidences that they believe may emerge from a mystical, universal holism, ” writes Andrew Whalen in iDigital Times.
Whalen asked Alexander why he picked Back to the Future? The filmmaker answered:
I think it chose me to be honest. I think that these sub-plots, they wanted to be expressed on some level. We come back to intention, like in the way a human being has intention. Can a movie have intention? Can something that doesn't seem to be conscious have intention? I think it can because it's ultimately tied to the infinite consciousness of the universe.
Joe Alexander has something to tell the sync community about the future, and does it through his examination of the continuum in Back to the Future and events that occurred after the movies of the trilogy appeared. As far as documentary movie-making goes, Back to the Future Predicts 9/11 joins treatments like Rodney Ascher's Room 237 (2013) and Jake Kotze's videos to form a growing body of sync-comparative works.

Alexander's 2015 film talks of 2001's 9/11, as well as about events that were predicted in Back to the Future's films for 2015. But when some of the "predictions" appeared to be potential failures for 2015 - like the Cubs winning or Trump's president run - they turned into successes in 2016.

That is why Alexander gets the award for 2016.

Alexander's other videos (see here, here, and here) are all worthy of your time, also.

The notion that Donald Trump's presidential run and election were foretold in the Back to the Future films has a solid foundation.

Andrea Mandell 's USA Today article of October 21, 2015, "Believe it: 'Back to the Future' predicted Trump's run," relates the facts. Mandell reports, "Back to the Future II screenwriter Bob Gale told the Daily Beast that Marty McFly's arch nemesis, the wealthy villain Biff Tannen, who turns his fortunes (among them, casino) into a quest for political power was...based on The Donald."

In the 1989 sequel, Biff uses the profits from his towering casino to help shake up the Republican Party, before eventually assuming political power himself. In what becomes a lawless, dystopian wasteland, Biff encourages every citizen to call him “America’s greatest living folk hero.” Source.

As seen below, the Comedy Central's At Midnight dealt with the thin line between humor and the unknown unknown shown in Back to the Future Predicts 9/11. The host's podium mirroring the Twin Towers was hardly subtle.

Therefore, Joe Alexander, besides creating a thoughtful, enjoyable film and other videos about the synchromystic side of Back to the Future's "predictions," has had an impact, in 2016, beyond his one contribution. He caused ripples through the sync world every time anyone watched Back to the Future and other films. Thanks to him for showing us what he sees.

Congratulations to Joe Alexander, the Synchromystic Of The Year 2016!
