Synchromystic Of The Year 2014: Alan Abbadessa Green

The Twilight Language is giving its First Annual "Synchromystic Of The Year" Award to Alan Abbadessa Green on December 17, 2014. This is an honor that will be bestowed upon a deserving individual every year who has contributed to the broad dissemination of a better understanding of the objectives and goals underpinning the field of synchromysticism.
"Synchromysticism: The art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance." ~ Jake Kotze, The Brave New World Order, August 18, 2006.
For those unaware, or reading about synchromysticism for the first time, here are a couple other formal definitions.
Synchromysticism: The drawing of connections in modern culture (movies, music lyrics, historical happenings and esoteric knowledge); and finding connections that could be coming from the "collective unconscious mind"; and finding connections between occult knowledge (i.e. esoteric fraternities, cults and secret rituals), politics and mass media. Source.
Synchromysticism is a portmanteau of the words "synchronicity" and "mysticism." A Synchronicity is a coincidence with meaning which is usually far less likely to occur naturally than typical coincidences. An observance of synchronicity is often coupled with a recent moment of personal enlightenment or great insight. A shift in consciousness of perceived reality will usually determine ones ability to see an increased number of synchronicities. Source.

Synchromysticism is a new field, and a few individuals, from Jake Kotze to the authors of recent books on the topic, are at the threshold of breaking new ground. Twenty top theorists on synchromysticism and twilight language were highlighted here. I've also  discussed "Synchromysticism's Godfather," James Shelby Downard, as well.

As I have attempted to explain in a piece on being a "synchromystic Fortean," part of being a synchromystic is to have a lightness about you. As I wrote, "I am not adverse to using a sense of humor in trying to find the keys along the way."

For Alan Abbadessa-Green's remarkable year of the positive promotion of synchromystic intellectual pursuits, via his new Sync Quick News, online, podcast, and other involvements, this blog chooses him as our "Synchromystic of the Year."

Every year, a unique artifact from the past and/or present will be awarded. This year, it is a beer stein that was created in 1990 to celebrate the 1969 Apollo 11 Mission to the Moon. Those involved in this field will understand the deeper level of this artifact, linked to 11, Apollo, the Moon, Stanley Kubrick, and much much more.

Place it in a location of honor, Alan Abbadessa-Green. With all good humor, sync and seriousness, congratulations!

For more complete insights into who is Alan Abbadessa-Green, Guillaume Samard (with the assistance of Jj Draa) has shared the following biography:
Alan Abbadessa-Green is an author and researcher who published The Sync Book, a collection of 26 essays on synchronicity. This led to the creation of Sync Book Press and the publication of three additional books, including his followup, The Sync Book Vol. 2 (with 26 new contributors).
The website, The Sync Book is a wonderful place to search and use, with over 600 hours of radio archives, four weekly shows and a wide variety of books and HD videos. With Sync Book Press, Alan has published other books from different authors (Winter's Labyrinth, a novella in four parts; Dog Park: Accidental Initiations, and more recently The Yogic Gospel of Thomas and Astromusik).
Sync Book Press has also given birth to "Sync Book Radio," which hosts multiple weekly radio shows such as "42 Minutes," "Always Record," "Synchronize," and recently the addition of two new shows, "Marty Leeds' Mathemagical Hour Radio" and "Pentamental."
Before The Sync Book, Alan was already the originator of a few projects, including Squares That Touch (a graphic novel) and his first book, All the Happy Creatures

Alan is also the creator of the excellent blog All the Happy Creatures
Alan has given a number of interviews (on Red Ice Radio 2013, Red Ice Radio 2011, Anthony Peake's Consciousness Hour, The Corbett Report, Mike Clelland's Hidden Experience, The Vinny Eastwood Show, Sky Blue Symposia, Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis, Time Monk Radio, Frater X's Middle Chamber, Truth Frequency, Cosmic Gnostic Radio, and many more). On which you could have heard him say: "One of the things I cover is the fact that a publisher asked me in 2007 to write a book about the 2012 meme, which I hadn't studied at all at the time. It was their very very specific demand that I write the book to promote the idea that the world was going to end as to 'scare people into buying books.' It is with this perspective that I know just how fear is used as a motivator and that facts are often unpleasant obstacles. I have instead pledged myself to spreading truth and cutting through fear-based propaganda." - Alan Abbadessa Green

The Sync Book adventure will enter its fifth year soon: "We have outgrown one model and are birthing another."
He recently released the first part of the upcoming three part video series Suicide Kings, which you can watch for free here.
A few weeks ago, Alan started a new and very innovative show, called Sync Quick News.  It is a short video format published weekly, which explores in 5 minutes or less, the news (local/community and general/mainstream headlines) through "synchronicity's wide angle looking glasses," and, of course, with Alan's personal view of this world, which is often expressed in his unmistakable sharpened sense of humor.
Who knows what's coming next with a such complete artist?
Alan is a multimedia artist. He has had his self-published anthology on display at The Baltimore Museum of Art. His animation has been projected onstage at the New York International Fringe Festival, commissioned by a Bollywood director, shown in corporate boardrooms and featured in music.

Besides the video component, his project Suicide Kings will be a book exploring synchronicity, archetypes and esoteric symbolism in the JFK assassination, 9/11 and the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Here are some of Alan's books.

Also, Alan organized the following "sync summit," which I predict will grow in the coming years.

Murder Most Mysterious on Mass Ave

Murder is so rare in Portland, Maine, that you can count the incidents on one hand since 2011. But two of them have been associated with separate ends of Massachusetts Avenue in 2014 and 2011.

Here are the statistics for recent years: 2000, No murders; 2001, 1; 2002, 3; 2003, 1; 2004, 2; 2005, 3; 2006; 3; 2007, 1; 2008, 4; 2009, 4; 2010, 6; 2011, 2; 2012, 1. (Source.) There was only one homicide in Portland, Maine, in 2013. (Source.)

Most murders in Portland, Maine, are the result of domestic violence, but less than 10% remain "unsolved."

A new murder in Portland is a surprise. Where it happened is, as well. The Brighton Avenue-Massachusetts Avenue-Congress Street area is a mix of apartment houses at each end, with quiet single-family homes, lined with maple trees and comfortable little front and back yards, in between. This is near the University of Southern Maine, and where students, immigrants, professors, and ex-professors live. The site of these murders is where I live, and a shock for the neighborhood. (It was just a "coincidence" that I wrote about redrum/murder earlier on the same day.)

But are we discovering, at least, for murder mysteries of 2011 and 2014, this one area is a focus?

Here's what we know about the murder last night, Friday, November 21, 2014.
Portland police say a man was shot and killed by another man who fled the scene of the apparent homicide in an apartment on Brighton Avenue on Friday night.
Police found one man dead when they were called to an apartment at 214 Brighton Ave. shortly after 9 p.m. to respond to a report that shots had been fired.
The man believed to have committed the killing fled, but police didn’t know whether he got in a vehicle or ran. They did say that the suspected shooter was no longer thought to be in the area late Friday night, and that no one had been taken into custody.
Police did not release the identity of the victim.
Brighton Avenue was closed between Douglass Street and Massachusetts Avenue while police investigated the killing. They expected the street to remain closed for some time.
The shooting occurred in the Princeton Village Apartments, a large complex next to the train tracks that run through the neighborhood. (Read more.)

The time was also given in another report:
Portland police are investigating a homicide at 214 Brighton Ave. Officers arrived an apartment around 9:05 p.m. Friday and found one man dead. (Read more.)
Saturday evening, the victim was identified as Richard Lobor, 23, of Portland. Source.

Lobor was a guest in an apartment at 214 Brighton Avenue, where the fatal shooting took place. Source.

On Facebook, "Rich Lobor" (pictured) is profiled:
Works at Seeds of Peace
Studied at Southern Maine Community College
Past: Portland High School
Lives in Juba, South Sudan
From Cairo, Egypt

==============================================================

In 2011, an unsolved murder happened at the opposite end of Massachusetts Avenue.

Portland police investigate a fatal shooting that happened early Monday, August 1, 2011, outside 4-6 Massachusetts Ave. Police were called to the Mobil gas station at 1196 Congress St., in the background, and found a 41-year-old man lying on the sidewalk in front of the station. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. John Patriquin/Portland Press Herald photographer

Portland police search an alley outside 4-6 Massachussetts Ave., where a man apparently was shot early Monday. The shooting is the first homicide of this year in Portland. John Patriquin/Portland Press Herald photographer

The victim, identified as Allen MacLean, apparently was shot at 4:30 am behind the three-story apartment building at 4-6 Massachusetts Ave., and collapsed on the sidewalk in front of a Mobil gas station and convenience store at 1196 Congress St.

The case is still listed as unsolved, as the Portland Police department's only "cold case homicide" for 2011. (See here.)

Slenderman in Paranoia

Loren & Jenny Coleman's cover article, "Slenderman Becomes Too Real," is in the new PARANOIA, #59/Fall 2014. The selection looks at the series of recent crimes connected to the fictional character Slenderman. You may order a copy online here

The Table of Contents of this 65 page issue follows:

In the August 2014 issue, #317, of Fortean Times, Jenny Coleman's "Shadows of the Thin Man" appeared. It was an article detailing another part of the mystery, the popular cultural history of Slenderman and its link to similar entities in film and fiction. That magazine, too, used that topic as their cover subject.

The First Sync Summit

The site of the world's first sync summit, OlympiaWashington, combines two power names in one location.

The Conference

Sync Book Press has announced they are holding The Olympia Sync Summit this coming August 8-9, 2014. Readers of this Twilight Language blog, who live in the Pacific Northwest, may wish to attend.

It is the Sync Book Press's first, large-scale event with multiple days and presenters. Currently, they are selling pre-sale tickets as a part of an Indiegogo campaign to fund the event. They are asking for folks to consider donating and meeting with them this summer at their conference. Get your tickets now! For full details, see here.

The Location

Olympia's name origins, of course, go back to Olympia (Greek: Ολυμπία; Ancient Greek: [ˈolympia]; Modern Greek: [ˈolibia] Olympía), the sanctuary of ancient Greece in Elis, which is known for having been the site of the Olympic Games in classical times, the most famous games in history.

Washington was named after George Washington, the first President of the United States, and is the only U.S. state named after a president. To distinguish it from the U.S. capital, Washington is often referred to as Washington state as opposed to the more conventional "The State of Washington," a redundancy that is unpopular with many of its citizens due to the perception that the qualifier relegates it to a lesser status among other states. Washingtonians (residents of Washington) and many residents of neighboring states and Canadians from southern British Columbia normally refer to the state simply as "Washington," while usually referring to the nation's capital as "Washington, D.C." or simply "D.C." The area was originally called "Columbia" after the Columbia River. Ironically, the area was renamed Washington to avoid confusion with the District of Columbia.

As master name game theorists, including myself and Jim Brandon, have pointed out, both "Columbia" and "Washington," tied to their Masonic harmony, are power monikers.

Master pulp fiction writer Raymond Chandler once sent his pre-Philip Marlowe sleuth Carmady to Olympia, Washington, in the short story "Goldfish," which is set in 1936. A Great Depression-era town with government buildings is sketchily described. The yarn ends violently on the extreme tip of the Olympic Peninsula, in a smugglers' nest in Westport.

In the young adult novel series Gossip Girl (novel series), the character Dan Humphrey attends The Evergreen State College, located in Olympia.

Roswell Shooter Identified: He's A Mason

News about the name of the suspected shooter in the Roswell school shooting event has been announced.

The 12-year-old boy is named Mason Campbell.

One of his victims is Kendall (or Kendal) Sanders, 13.

Mason = a stone worker ~ alternatively, a member of the Freemasons.

Campbell = primarily a Scottish family name of Gaelic origins, although a small number of branches have origins from anglicisation of various Irish family names. In Scotland, the name itself derives from two Scottish Gaelic words. "Cam" and "Béal" meaning "Crooked mouth" or "wry-mouthed," originally a nickname which over time became used as a surname.

Kendall = "Valley of the River Kent."

Sanders = a patronymic surname derived from the given name "Sander," a medieval form of "Alexander." Alexander comes from the Greek name "Alexandros," meaning "defender of men" from the Greek alexein "to defend, help" and aner"man."

School shootings are a fact of life in the educational system in the USA, during the 21st century.

Here is a snapshot of 2013:
