Metro, Twin Peaks, and Cinergy: Deaths in France & Texas

Odessa, Texas

Odessa means "wrathful," and is the feminine version of Odysseus, which has taken on the connotative meaning of wandering, traveling adventure in honor of the famous voyage in Homer's epic The Odyssey
Odysseus ~ to hate. The name Texas is derived from the word "teyshas" (meaning friends or allies), from the native American Caddo language.
Odysseus ~ hate + Texas ~ allies = Hate allies.

Aurora, Colorado

Colorado ~ Red + Aurora ~ Dawn = Red Dawn.

On August 10, 2019, at 5:02 PM Eastern, Enki sent this predictive comment to Twilight Language:

An event on another anniversary date caught my eye recently. On, July 20, 2019, the seven-year anniversary of the Aurora shooting by James “Joker” Holmes, another joker appeared. Damik A. Disdier, wearing a clown mask and wielding a prop chainsaw, led police on a bizarre low-speed chase which ended at Southern California’s synchromystic hotspot Venice Beach.
Upon arriving at the beach, Disdier abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. In the final minutes of the surreal chase, Disdier stopped to assist someone in burying a friend in the sand. A clown appearance on July 20 already had me nervous about another coming rash of Red Dawn events, but this especially odd, seemingly symbolic behavior triggered this morbid thought: They will not be able to bury the dead quickly enough.

The recent spate of high-profile mass shootings suggests my intuition was correct. I expect things to continue to heat up through 2019’s Summer of Hate, and even extend into the fall. A synchromystic Evil Spirit of 76 seems to be at work here, with The Joker scheduled to premiere at the original Venice’s 76th Venice Film Festival on August 31, and with the film's wide release happening October 4, 76 days from the Venice Beach clown craziness. These two dates will be ones to watch for jokers going wild.
Enki was correct. As he wrote to me on August 31st, "so far today we have had clowns marching at a straight pride event in Boston, a mass stabbing near Lyon, and a roaming shooter in Texas. Crazy times."

August 31 turned into a day of violence.  This took place exactly 4 weeks after the two shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. In America, it apparently began at the Twin Peaks and ended at the Cinergy!

The first the clowns, then the hints that this would be a day filled with random attacks came from France.

Venice, Italy

The film festival premiere of the Todd Phillips-Joaquin Phoenix version of Joker went over well on August 31, 2019.
Joker was received with an eight-minute standing ovation following its premiere at the Venice Film Festival Saturday, Variety reports.
Director-writer Todd Phillips and stars Joaquin Phoenix and Zazie Beetz were on hand for the event. During a press conference, Phillips said his drama was inspired by 1928 silent film The Man Who Laughs as well as the Martin Scorsese-directed Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and The King of Comedy, three of Scorsese’s seminal works each headlined by Joker co-star Robert De Niro.

Boston, Massachusetts

The Straight Pride Parade occurred on Saturday, August 31, 2019, in downtown Boston, Massachusetts, and attracted counter-protesters, as well as a heavy police presence. Within the parade, according to photographs taken there, clowns were in attendance. Were they part of it, or in protest of it?

The "straight pride parade" in Boston got people so enraged by anyone who would participate, an epic trolling campaign started with people posting pictures of clowns as "participants" of the event.

Events went downhill from there. But the clowns were at the fringes of yesterday's tragic events. Was that an indicator of things to come?

Lyon, France: 1 Dead, 8 Injured

One person was killed and eight others wounded during a knife attack on people waiting for a bus near the Laurent-Bonnevay metro station in Villeurbanne near Lyon, France. Three of the eight victims were seriously wounded.
The single fatality was a 19-year-old man, Villeurbanne Mayor Jean-Paul Bret told reporters.
The assault occurred in Villeurbanne, a suburb of the southeastern city of Lyon, about 4:30 p.m.
A suspect has been taken into custody, according to Lyon Mayor Gerard Collomb. The motive for the attack is unknown. The suspected attacker is a 33-year-old asylum seeker, Sultan Marmed Niazi from Afghanistan.
(On September 9, 2018, seven people were injured, including two British tourists, during an attack by a man wielding a knife and an iron bar in northeastern Paris, police said. The assault came after a series of knife attacks in France.)

Midland to Odessa, Texas: 7 Killed, 1 Gunman Killed, 21 Injured

A gunman in West Texas killed seven people while firing from his vehicle and then from a hijacked mail truck. He was fatally shot by police in a gun battle in a movie theater parking lot, authorities said Saturday, August 31, 2019.
At least 21 people were injured, including some who were wounded by the shooter. Three law enforcement officers were injured: one from the Department of Public Safety, one officer from the Midland Police Department and one officer from Odessa Police Department.
The shooter was identified as a white male in his 30s. His name and a motive were not given.
The chain of events began when a Department of Public Safety officer pulled over a vehicle on an interstate highway Saturday. Reports said it began at a Twin Peaks restaurant, someone was shot outside an Olive Garden, also shootings near a Home Depot, Walmart, then at random cars on Highway 191, between Midland and Odessa. It all ended at the Cinergy movie theater in Odessa, where the gunman was shot dead. He was identified as Seth Aaron Ator, 36, of Odessa.

Leila Hernandez, 15, is one of at least seven people killed when a gunman hijacked a postal truck and began firing indiscriminately in the neighboring cities of Midland and Odessa, Texas.

United States Postal worker Mary Granados was shot and killed when the gunman hijacked her truck.

The final episode of David Lynch and Mark Frost's Twin Peaks Season Three (released two years ago on September 3, 2017) takes place partially in Odessa, Texas.  Cooper arrives at Judy's Diner in Odessa, Texas, and obtains the address of Carrie Page who resembles Laura Palmer. Cooper, believing she is Laura, drives her to Twin Peaks. He finds the Palmer house occupied by different owners. Confused, Cooper asks Carrie what year it is. Carrie hears Sarah calling Laura's name and screams. The house lights go out. The season closes with a visual callback to Laura whispering to Cooper in the Red Room. ~ sent in by various contributors.

Werewolf, Vampire, Beheading and Mothers

These are bizarre times....

The cover of Germany's Der Spiegel, dated 4.2.2017, which is the European style for February 4, 2017, would read as April 2, 2017, to Americans. "42" again.

A werewolf. A vampire. A stabbing. A beheading. Two mothers dead. It has been a strange two days.

Bellingham, SE London, was the site of a car ramming on February 26, 2017.

Readers immediately recalled that Bellingham, Washington State, was a site of frequent murders. And that in The X-Files episode "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" the Air Force pilot, dressed as an alien, was shown as being from Bellingham, Washington.

Now Bellingham, Washington, has been revisited in a horrific fashion. A son, who thought he was a werewolf, kills his mother, who he thinks was a vampire.

Officers and firefighters were called to a home in the 1500 block of McKenzie Avenue, Bellingham, Washington, on Sunday, March 5, 2017.

Aurora's son, the suspect.

When they arrived shortly after 2 p.m., they found the body of 57-year-old Aurora Buol-Smith. Police found Sheaen Smith, the woman’s 29-year-old son, in an upstairs bedroom of the home. Bellingham police say Smith made several statements, including one to the effect of "I stabbed her," and told officers he had called 911. The man was transported to the police department for an interview. Based on information he provided, a knife believed to be the one used in the stabbing was found in the home. Police say Smith made numerous statements to officers and detectives about why he stabbed his mother, including a statement that he was a werewolf and his mother was a vampire. Source.
Police said later that the attack was sexually motivated.

The woman killed was identified as Aurora Buol-Smith, 57, The Bellingham Herald reported. The same newspaper has said that the suspect, Sheaen Emmette Smith, 29, placed "a nonsensical 911 call about werewolves and vampires around 2 p.m. Sunday from his mother’s duplex."

Aurora = Dawn.

Meanwhile, on Monday, March 6, 2017, another son killed his mother, also under bizarre circumstances.

The suspect, 18-year-old Oliver Funes-Machado (pictured above), was arrested after greeting police with a butcher’s knife and his mother’s severed head.

Media reports say the first deputy on the scene saw the teen walking out of the house, holding the head in one hand and what appeared to be a butcher knife in the other. When Funes-Machado saw officers, he reportedly placed the head on the ground and was arrested, officials have said.

The son killed his mother in front of two other children in the family, young girls ages 2 or 3.

The killing of Yesenia Funes Beatriz Machado happened about noon Monday, 190 miles east of Charlotte in the small Pilot community of Franklin County. The closest town is Zebulon, an eastern Wake County town of 4,400 people. Source.

Zebulon is the sixth son of Jacob and Leah in the Hebrew Bible. The North Carolina town of Zebulon is said to be named after Zebulon Baird Vance (1830–1894), American Confederate Colonel and North Carolina Governor on Wikipedia. However, in the Illustrated Dictionary of Place Names, Zebulon, North Carolina, is reportedly named after Zebulon Pike (1779–1813), American soldier, and explorer and eponym of Pikes Peak in Colorado.

Zebulon is part of the (North Carolina) Research Triangle metropolitan region.

E’Dena Hines: Murdered at the Witching Hour

Update: Another Batman sync

Actress Yvonne Craig, best known for her role as Batgirl in the 1960s' Batman TV series, died at 78 on Monday, August 17, 2015. Craig also played Martha, the green Orion Slave Girl who wanted to kill Captain Kirk, in the third season of Star Trek. Her other guest appearances on TV include The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Fantasy Island, The Mod Squad and The Many Lives of Dobie Gillis. She also starred in two movies opposite Elvis Presley, It Happened at the World's Fair and Kissin' Cousins.

Earlier....

It was 3 am (the real witching hour) and the victim was 33. And it happened near a street with a power name.

E’Dena Hines was found murdered. It became mainstream news because her grandfather by adoption is the actor Morgan Freeman. News reports talk of him as her step-grandfather or god-grandfather. E’Dena was the granddaughter of Morgan’s first wife Jeanette Adair Bradshaw, and Freeman had adopted Bradshaw's daughter, therefore establishing a relationship with Hines that was a close one. For years, Freeman took Hines to film openings, as his plus one.

E’Dena means "of the valley." Hines can mean "of God's Grace," or as a derivative of eidhean, "ivy."

This is Morgan Freeman with E’Dena Hines at the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises.

In 2008, there was talk of The Dark Knight curse, and Freeman almost died in an automobile accident. See here.

It will be recalled that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward was the focus of the dramatic destruction scene of the Gotham Football Stadium in The Dark Knight Rises.

Back to the weekend...

On August 16, 2015, police responding to a 911 call at about 3 am found 33-year-old E'Dena Hines lying on the street with multiple stab wounds to her chest. She was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital. Hines, an actress who had appeared on Broadway and on red carpets at Freeman’s side, was stabbed 16 times, officials said. Hines was attacked on West 162 Street near St. Nicholas Avenue, a few buildings from where she lived, law enforcement authorities and other sources reported.

Lamar Davenport (or Lyric, as his rapper name labeled him) was screaming, "Get out, devils! I cast you out, devils! In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out" over E’Dena’s copse.

Police said Davenport was in a relationship with Hines.

Was Lyric part of the weird music Illuminati underground?

Despite strange YouTube attempts to tie Morgan Freeman to the Illuminati, there does not seem to be anything but conspiracy speculation in that direction. Anyone can have freckles.

But what of the killing being near St. Nicholas Avenue?

Nicholas: From the Greek name Νικολαος (Nikolaos) which meant "victory of the people."

Jim Brandon wrote me in 2012, that he "wanted to add...to the Names of Power list – Nicholas and permutations (from Old Nick and Santa Claus up)...."

I mentioned Brandon's and Matthew Bell's article on Nick/Nicholas/Nichols here in 2013.

Police arrested 30-year-old Lamar Davenport, 30, at the scene, and later charged him with second-degree murder.

Lamar is a word in use as a feminine Arabic name meaning "liquid gold."

The Daily Mirror says that E’Dena had recently returned to NYC after teaching underprivileged youth in Memphis, Tennessee.

Hines was a graduate of NYU's Graduate Acting Program and played Beneatha in A Raisin in the Sun on Broadway in 2012.

She'd left the city to teach in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, but returned to New York in April 2015, to co-star in the indie film Landing Up.

"She was an amazing, incredible, loving human being," the film's director, Daniel Tenenbaum, told The New York Post. Stacey Maltin is also a writer/producer/actor on the film.

In two Batman syncs...

On Saturday, August 15, 2015, Donald Trump made a dramatic entrance at the Iowa State fair, spending time giving rides to children aboard his multi-million dollar helicopter.

After a group of children boarded his helicopter, one nine-year-old child filmed the experience on video.

“Mr. Trump … Are you Batman?” the child asked.

“I am Batman,” Trump replied.

Meanwhile...

Late on Sunday, August 16, 2015, Leonard ("Lenny") Robinson, 51, of Owing Mills, Maryland, known for visiting hospitalized children dressed as Batman, died in a crash on a western Maryland highway after his Batmobile had engine trouble.

He was checking the engine of his Batmobile while standing in the fast lane of eastbound I-70 Sunday night when his car was hit by a Toyota Camry. The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the unincorporated community of Big Pool.

Owing Mills is the home to the Baltimore Ravens' headquarters facility and many companies. The TV program Wall $treet Week with Louis Rukeyser was produced by Maryland Public Television at its studios in Owings Mills; many viewers became familiar with the town as the mailing address of the program. Many people have also become familiar with the town as the mailing address of the weekly automotive series MotorWeek. Local roads can often be seen on the program.

Big Pool, the body of water formed when the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal was made, which of course, gave the name to the area. To the south of Big Pool lies Fort Frederick State Park, a restored fort used during the French and Indian War. Also nearby is the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, which lies near Ft. Frederick alongside the Potomac River.

Known as the Route 29 Batman, Robinson had spent the weekend at SummerFest in South Charleston.

Canadian Stabbing Spree Leaves Five Dead

There has been a mass stabbing spree in Canada that has left five dead, including two members of a rock band, Zackariah Rathwell and Josh Hunter.

Matt de Grood, 22, is accused of killing five people during an end-of-year college party in the Calgary suburb of Brentwood on April 15. Police say the attack began at 1:20 a.m. Five people -- four men and one woman -- were killed. De Grood has been charged with five counts of first-degree murder.

The suspect.
Less than a week after a stabbing in Pennsylvania left 22 injured, five college students have died in the "worst mass murder" in the Canadian city's history
A 23-year-old man will likely face murder charges after allegedly stabbing and killing five University of Calgary students at a party Tuesday.
After arriving at a party shortly after midnight on Tuesday, the suspect — who was an invited guest and is a also a student at the university — allegedly targeted other students individually, according to Calgary Police Chief Rick Hanson. “The suspect arrived at the party, obtained a large knife and targeted the victims one by one, stabbing them,” said Hanson.

Calling the incident “the worst mass murder in Calgary’s history,” the chief identified the arrested suspect as Matthew de Grood, a University of Calgary student.
Hanson said de Grood had no prior history with the police and was likely not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time. Police believe he brought a weapon directly from his place of work to the party, but used knife found at the party to stab his victims.
“The suspect arrived at the party, obtained a large knife and targeted the victims one by one, stabbing them,” Hanson said.
The victims were four males and one female.... Source.
De Grood's father, Inspector Doug de Grood, is a Calgary policeman with 33 years of experience.

The name de Grood originally was written as de Groot, which is composed of the adjective groot, from middle Dutch grote, meaning big or great, preceded by the definite article de, meaning the. It was originally a nickname for a tall person.

Meanwhile, today, the anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings, had a moment of bizarreness in Boston.

Boylston Street was evacuated Tuesday night after two bags were left at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Both bags were detonated by the Bomb Squad.
At least one of the bags was being carried by a barefoot man who was wearing a long black veil and screaming “Boston Strong.” That man has been identified as Kayvon Edson.
A source tells WBZ-TV that when the Edson was stopped by police, he told them he had a rice cooker in his bag. That is when the Bomb Squad was called to the scene...[T]he rice cooker in the bag was full of confetti. More, see source.
Elsewhere, it should be noted that yesterday was the anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. And this news is hitting the wires, a South Korean ship with about 450 passengers is sinking off the country's southwestern coast.

Dutch Clown Stabs Russian Boy On Crete: UPDATED

On the island of Crete in Hersonissos, a violent fierce attack by a Dutch hotel clown was made against a Russian family's child.

As you may recall, earlier in 2013, three Dutch clowns beat a boy at the Dutch city of Volendam's clown festivities (which involves over 200 clowns) in January.

In Crete, according to the forensic findings the child, aged 11 years, was stabbed 20 times in the chest, back and left arm. No sexual abuse was found.

Police authorities have arrested a 20-year-old Dutch hotel employee, who allegedly has confessed that he is the perpetrator of the attack on the minor. He was the hotel's clown.

Here are some of the photographs of the suspect from European newspapers. On his back is a tattoo with the words, "Vatos Locos."

Vatos Locos (in English, Crazy Dudes) is a widely used name for a street gang. Gangs using this name are active in several American states. The film Blood in, Blood out (1993) about the life of poet Jimmy Santiago Baca in 1972, was based on the experiences of gang members of Vatos Locos. The video game Call of Juarez: The Cartel features a fictional Vatos Locos gang.

The 11 year-old lost his cellphone and laptop, went searching for them, and then was lost. His parents, who had been looking for their child, did not find him until 3:00 AM in the hotel parking garage.

After a lengthy police interrogation, the young Dutch hotel clown reportedly confessed he stabbed the kid and directed the police to where the knife could be found.

The child is of Russian origin and is with his family in Crete for a holiday.

Hersonissos (Greek: Χερσόνησος, pronounced [xerˈsonisos] - Chersónisos), also transliterated as Chersonisos and Hersónisos, is a town and a municipality in the north of Crete, bordering the Mediterranean/Aegean Sea. The vicinity of Hersonissos is noted for its prehistoric archaeological finds. On the coast approximately one kilometer to the east of Hersonissos was an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Britomartis.

Britomartis (Βριτόμαρτις) was the Minoan goddess of mountains and hunting. She is among the Minoan goddess figures that passed through the Mycenaeans' culture into classical Greek mythology, with transformations that are unclear in both transferrals. For the Greeks Britomartis (Cretan dialect for "sweet maiden", "sweet virgin") or Diktynna (derived by Hellenistic writers as from diktya, "hunting nets") was a mountain nymph (an oread) whom Greeks recognized also in Artemis and in Aphaea, the "invisible" patroness of Aegina.
Britomartis ("sweet maid") is an epithet that does not reveal the goddess's name, nor her character, for it has the ring of an apotropaic euphemism. The goddess addressed as "Britomartis" was worshipped in Crete as an aspect of Potnia, the "Mistress." The oldest aspect of the Cretan goddess was as Mother of Mountains, who appears on Minoan seals with the demonic features of a Gorgon, accompanied by the double-axes of power and gripping divine snakes. Her terror-inspiring aspect was softened by calling her Britomartis, the "good virgin," a euphemism to allay her dangerous aspect.
Britomart figures in Edmund Spenser's knightly epic The Faerie Queene, where she is an allegorical figure of the virgin Knight of Chastity, representing English virtue—in particular, English military power—through a folk etymology that associated Brit-, as in Briton, with Martis, here thought of as "of Mars," the Roman war god. In Spenser's allegory, Britomart connotes the Virgin Queen, Elizabeth I of England.
In his retelling of the King Arthur legends, Arthur Rex, author Thomas Berger suggests that Queen Guinevere may have become a powerful female knight known as Britomart after the death of the King.
Source.

BTW, media sources are also reporting the attack occurred in the "seaside town of Anissaras" and "in Iraklio, Crete."

"Anissaras" is a hilly area in east Crete just outside of Hersonissos. "Iraklio" is another spelling for Heraklion, or Heraclion, where the famed ruins of Knossos were excavated and restored by Arthur Evans. English usage formerly preferred the classicizing transliterations "Heraklion" or "Heraclion," but the form "Iraklion" is becoming more common.

Cypress Stabbings

The attacker stabbed women.

He is long-haired, white, deaf, an enrolled student, and carries around a stuffed animal toy, reportedly a monkey. His first name is said to be "Dylan." The suspect, Dylan Quick, 20, was later charged.

Multiple people were injured in a stabbing incident today at a Houston-area college, prompting officials to urge students to take shelter, the school said.

At least 14 people were injured in the incident at Lone Star College's CyFair campus in Cypress, Texas, according to CNN affiliates KHOU, KTRK and KPRC, Fox News, and other sources.

Authorities have detained one suspect, the school said in a statement.

"There are multiple injuries and conflicting reports on the total number of victims and severity of injuries," the school's statement said. "We an confirm that several people have been transported to area hospitals."

Four were serious, two critical. Two individuals refused treatment.

There is no motive known.

The timing is intriguing, considering the attempts to restriction gun purchases without background checks and limiting ammunition magazine volumes. Stabbings have traditionally been a problem in China.

I was just preparing to write that the annual heightened "danger zone" of school/college violence of late April, which occurs following an active fall, is almost upon us.

(Also, in a "name game" coincidence, on this very morning, on Twitter, I published an image I had just taken in southern Illinois of a cypress tree and its enigmatic knees, strangely blurry in the photo near a Bucky Fuller dome.)

Earlier on April 9, 2013: A 60-year-old veteran gunned down 13 people in Serbia, including a baby, in a pre-dawn house-to-house rampage today before trying to kill himself and his wife, in what RT is calling Serbia's "worst peacetime shooting." The man, identified as Ljubisa Bogdanovic, used a handgun in the shooting spree at five houses in Velika Ivanca, a village 30 miles southeast of Belgrade. Residents of the village said he first killed his son before leaving the house and then began shooting his neighbors, some of whom were still asleep.

"He knocked on the doors and as they were opened he just fired a shot," said one. Reuters reports that his mother was among the dead. The man and his wife were both severely injured by the shootings; officials say the motive is unclear. The suspect had lost his job last year and fought as a Serb volunteer soldier in the war in Croatia in 1992, the police chief said. Villagers said Bogdanovic fought in Vukovar, the eastern Croatian town that was destroyed in a massive Serbian-led army offensive, the scene of the worst bloodshed during Croatia's 1991-95 war for independence.
