London Bridge & Hague 2019 Incidents

November 29th is the anniversary of the Partition Plan of November 29, 1947, when The United Nations General Assembly approved a plan for the partition of Palestine.

2019 Incident

London Bridge

On this date in 2019, a "major incident" has taken place on the London Bridge. Reports indicate a number of people are believed to have been injured after a stabbing at London Bridge, police have said. One account says five have died ~ although this is totally unconfirmed.

The Met Police said they were called to a stabbing at a premises near the bridge just before 14:00 local time. They have declared this a "terrorist incident."

The force said it had killed a suspect, a man. The male killed was convicted terrorist Usman Khan, 28. Two citizens of London were killed.

London Ambulance Service has declared a "major incident". British Transport Police said London Bridge station was currently closed and no trains would be stopping there.

Police have advised people near the scene to follow directions from officers on the ground.

The prime minister tweeted he was being updated on the incident and wanted to thank police and all emergency services for their response.

Home Secretary Priti Patel also tweeted that she was "very concerned" about the incident.

The suspect had a "hoax" bomb jacket on his body.

Heroes credited were tour guide Thomas Gray, 24; Fishmongers' Hall chef Luckasz originally from Poland; convicted murderer James Ford out on day release; and other Small Car Big City tour guide Stevie Hurst.

Fishmongers' Hall was hosting a prisoner rehabilitation conference organised by the Institute of Criminology at Cambridge University. Usman Khan, who had on an ankle tracking bracelet, was attending the conference and a speaker.
The Narwhal Tusk

Polish chef Luckasz at the Fishmongers' Hall took a narwhal tusk off the wall to fight the London Bridge attacker. He is quite visible in photographs and videos of the incident. Source.

The narwhal (Monodon monoceros), or narwhale, is a medium-sized toothed whale that possesses a large "tusk" from a protruding canine tooth. It lives year-round in the Arctic waters around Greenland, Canada, and Russia. It is one of two living species of whale in the family Monodontidae, along with the beluga whale. The narwhal males are distinguished by a long, straight, helical tusk, which is an elongated upper left canine. The narwhal was one of many species described by Carl Linnaeus in his publication Systema Naturae in 1758.

Its name is derived from the Old Norse word nár, meaning "corpse", in reference to the animal's greyish, mottled pigmentation, like that of a drowned sailor and its summer-time habit of lying still at or near the surface of the sea (called "logging").

In Inuit legend, the narwhal's tusk was created when a woman with a harpoon rope tied around her waist was dragged into the ocean after the harpoon had struck a large narwhal. She was transformed into a narwhal, and her hair, which she was wearing in a twisted knot, became the characteristic spiral narwhal tusk.

Some medieval Europeans believed narwhal tusks to be the horns from the legendary unicorn. As these horns were considered to have magic powers, such as neutralising poison and curing melancholia, Vikings and other northern traders were able to sell them for many times their weight in gold.

Pale Horses on the Bridge

Revelation 6:8
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

The Hague

Then in the afternoon of Friday, November 29, 2019, several people were injured during a stabbing attack at a busy shopping district in the Netherlands, Dutch police said. It was the traditional "Black Friday" shopping day. There appears to be no terrorist connection in this incident.

At least three people were injured in the attack in The Hague, near the town’s historic center, Dutch police said. The suspect is still at large, officials said.

In a statement, Hague police said they were seeking a man aged 45-50 and described him using a Dutch term often applied to people of North African descent.

The attack came hours after a terrorist armed with a knife killed two pedestrians at the London Bridge. That suspect was shot dead by London cops.

2017 Incident

I posted of the earlier 2017 incidents here and here.

March 22, 2017 was the first anniversary of the 2016 terrorist attack in Brussels. Three suicide bombers killed 32 people and injured 316 in the 2016 Brussels bombings at the airport and at the Maelbeek/Maalbeek metro station.

Previously on March 22, in 2004, Ahmed Yassin, co-founder and leader of the Palestinian Sunni Islamist group Hamas, two bodyguards, and nine civilian bystanders are killed in the Gaza Strip when hit by Israeli Air Force Hellfire missiles.

On 22-3-17 in the U.K., at about 2:40 (2:37?) pm local time, a terrorist incident occurred. A woman was killed on Westminster Bridge in central London in what police are treating as a terrorist incident. Reportedly a police officer has died too. Five people are reported to have died. At least 40 people have been injured, some severely

London attack summary of June 4, 2017:

- Six dead, 49 injured and taken to hospitals

- Incident declared as terrorism

- Three suspects shot dead

- Total dead is 6 (4 pedestrians, 1 police officer, and the perpetrator Khalid Masood)

Yom Kippur Attacks: 2019

Wednesday, October 9, 2019, was the beginning of Yom Kippur- the Day of Atonement.

At least two people were killed Wednesday in Halle, Germany.

The shootings occured near a synagogue and a kebab shop. At least one suspect, 27-year-old local right-wing man (Stephan B), has been arrested, though police are still investigating whether others were involved in the attack.

Wednesday is Yom Kippur, one of the holiest days on the Jewish calendar. German media is reporting that at least one gunman posted a video of his assault, recorded with a helmet camera, where he made anti-Semitic comments. But police have not yet confirmed that this was a targeted attack.

The film reportedly showed his abortive attempt to shoot his way into the Halle synagogue, which was full of worshippers marking Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. It then allegedly shows him shooting a female passer-by close to Halle’s Jewish cemetery, then driving to a kebab shop where he shoots his second victim.

The filming of Wednesday’s attack echoed another horrific shooting halfway around the world when a far-right white supremacist in March killed 51 people at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand and livestreamed much of the attack on Facebook. That massacre drew strong criticism of social media giants for not immediately finding and blocking such a violent video.

The SITE Intelligence Group said the video on livestreaming site Twitch started with the assailant saying “my name is Anon and I think the Holocaust never happened.” He mentioned feminism and “mass immigration” and said that “the root of all these problems is the Jew.”

Here are other highlights of what is known:
At least two people were killed in a shooting near a synagogue and its cemetery, and near a kebab shop in Halle, a city in eastern Germany, according to media reports. A police spokesperson told CNN that the shooting happened on the same street as a synagogue.
The BBC, citing local German media, said shots were fired at the synagogue, but police haven’t confirmed. Witnesses inside the synagogue told German media that the gunman tried to enter the synagogue, but could not force his way inside.
At least one suspect is in custody, according to the New York Times and the Washington Post, both citing local media reports. Earlier on Wednesday, police said two other suspects may have fled in a vehicle south, but it’s not clear right now whether other people were involved.
German media is reporting that at least one of the gunman recorded his attack on a camera mounted on his helmet. On the video, he made anti-Semitic and extremist references, according to reports. German authorities have not yet confirmed the authenticity of the video.
German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer saidthat that police suspect the shooting may have been an anti-Semitic attack.
German federal prosecutors have taken over the case, according to DW. “Whether this case had an anti-Semitic motive still has to be determined,” Carolin Urban, a spokesperson for the federal prosecutors office, said. “We do not exclude any possibility.”
Local police warned residents to stay in their homes, and the city’s railway station was shut down, reports CNN.

The Twilight Zone Visits Twilight Lane

Sometimes when you venture into the Twilight Language you end up in the Twilight Zone. Here is one, thanks to news tip from J. Lenski, that is filled with the Name Game names of Lewis, Logan, and Twilight Lane. "Lewis," in its most elementary meaning, is the "son of a Freemason." I've been talking of "Logan" as a power name since before 1983. In Gaelic the meaning of the name Logan is "from the hollow." In Scottish, the meaning is sometimes translated as "Finnian's servant." The Scottish meaning of MacClennan is: Son of Finnian's servant. Finnian is the Irish Anglicized form of Gaelic Finnén, Finnian meaning "little white one."

The 2019 case includes an unknown woman who said she was a "devil" and her eyes said to be completely black, like saucers. She was heard laughing hysterically.

This all occurred in Chesterfield County, Virginia. On 25 May 1749, the Virginia House of Burgesses separated Chesterfield from Henrico County and created the new county. The first county seat was established at Chesterfield Court House. It has continued as county seat except for 1870–1876, during Reconstruction, when the county government was located at Manchester. The latter community has been subsumed by South Richmond.

The legislature named the county for the former British Secretary of State, Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield (pictured above). Lord Chesterfield was famous for his "good manners and writings". One of his most frequently used sayings implies avoiding rudeness; "An injury is much sooner forgotten than an insult." Many years later, Chesterfield Cigarettes were named after this county. This is former tobacco country.

Chesterfield cigarettes were the favorites of Rod Serling, the creator and host of The Twilight Zone.

[Serling, who had a small body frame at 5' 4", was said to smoke 3-4 packs of cigarettes a day. On May 3, 1975, he had a minor heart attack and was hospitalized. He spent two weeks at Tompkins County Community Hospital before being released. A second heart attack two weeks later forced doctors to agree that open-heart surgery, though considered risky at the time, was required. The ten-hour-long procedure was performed on June 26, but Serling had a third heart attack on the operating table and died two days (on June 28, 1975) later at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. He was 50 years old.]

"Chester" + "Field" is from a surname that originally belonged to a person who came from Chester, an old Roman settlement in Britain. The name of the settlement came from Latin castrum "camp, fortress". The ancestry of the name Field dates from the ancient Anglo-Saxon culture of Britain. It comes from when the family lived in the area that was near a field. This surname is a topographic name and is derived from the Old English word feld, which literally means the "pasture or open country."

The Incident
A Chesterfield [Virginia] family spoke with 8News on Friday (July 5, 2019) after fending off a naked intruder who broke into their home on South Twilight Lane [on] the night [of the 4th]. The intruder claimed to be the devil and attacked the family, prompting the homeowner to fire 39 rounds.
Melissa Lewis recalls the encounter. "She looked possessed," Lewis says.

The incident was a traumatic experience for the Lewis family’s first night in their brand new home.
“She was in to kill us,” Melissa Lewis said, “that was her almighty, to kill us. She attacked us and I held her down just kept on punching her and punching her as hard as I possibly could.”
The Lewis’ dream home now looks like a war zone, with blood soaked into the carpet, the walls and windows riddled with bullets and shell casings scattered all over.
“I said ‘who are you?” Lewis’ husband, who did not wish to go on camera, explained. “She said ‘I need your help, please help me.’ I said ‘get out of my house,’ and she goes ‘I’m the devil.’”
The homeowner says the woman, who had a blue ponytail, broke into the basement around 10:30 p.m. on July 4. The family said she was laughing menacingly and refused to leave.
“She looked possessed, her eyes were completely black, like saucers, and she was laughing like it was a joke,” Lewis’s husband told 8News.
Fearing for his life, the father of three grabbed his pistol and gave a verbal warning to the woman. With his family sleeping upstairs, he opened fire on the intruder. Lewis said the woman aggressively charged at him with superhuman strength.
“She was not stopping,” he said. “She had the strength of four grown men.”
When he ran out of bullets, Lewis began throwing furniture at her. His wife and children eventually jumped in and attempted to stop the woman. The intruder didn’t stop until one of the children, the Lewis’ 12-year-old son Logan, shoved a wrench into her neck.

Blood stains were evidence of the encounter, and photographs were taken.
Police arrested the intruder and she is being treated and evaluated at the hospital. The Lewis family left with bruises and bite marks. Detectives told the family that the suspect lives nearby and will eventually be charged robbery, breaking and entering and attempted murder. She is currently in the ICU with severe head trauma. Source.

Amokläufe Düsseldorf: Axe Attacker Injures Seven

An axe rampage in Düsseldorf, Germany, in what police called another “amok attack,” hurt several people.

The name "Düssel" literally relates to a person who is silly, a goof, an idiot, a ninny, a dope, and other descriptions of an individual who fools around stupidly. "Dorf" means village.

The Düssel is a small right tributary of the River Rhine in North Rhine Westphalia, Germany. Its source is east of Wülfrath. It flows westward through the Neander Valley where the fossils of the first Neanderthal man were found in 1856.

The town there was named Düsseldorf, even though the Rhine is close by.

The media reported:
An axe-wielding attacker [allegedly] suffering from mental health problems injured seven people at the main train station in the German city of Dusseldorf late Thursday (local time) [March 9, 2017].
Previously police had said several attackers were involved and two were arrested but they later said one suspect was behind the assault, a 36-year-old man from the former Yugoslavia.
“An assailant probably armed with an axe attacked people at random” at about 8:50pm local time,” city police said in a statement.
Commuters rush to the aid of an injured person on the floor of the Dusseldorf train station in Germany.
Blood on the floor of the Dusseldorf train station after the axe attack.
Police initially gave the number of injured as five, but updated that to seven in a later statement.
While trying to escape the man jumped from a bridge and suffered serious injuries from the fall.
...
An axe was recovered and officers were searching the area in and around the station, which was closed for the investigation.
Federal police spokesman for the regional state of North Rhine-Wesphalia state, Rainer Kerstiens described the attack to Deutsche Welle as an “amok attack.”
Emergency services personnel assist an injured person on the station floor.
A station attendant told Bild: “We were standing on the track, waiting for the train. The train came, and suddenly someone jumped out with an axe, hit the people. There was blood everywhere. I have experienced a lot, but I have never experienced this.”
...
Bruno Macedo tweeted: "Man with axe chased by police in Dusseldorf. Station closed. I am in the train things look bad #police #terror." Source.

There was another axe attack on a train in 2016 in Germany’s Bavaria, but no-one was killed and the attacker was found to be mentally unbalanced. (See below.)

German authorities have been on alert for terror attacks, especially since an assault claimed by the Islamic State terror group in December 2016 when a hijacked truck ploughed into a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people. (See below.)

Sagamihara Knife Attack Leaves 19 Dead

Japanese news agencies are reporting that 19 people are dead and 20 injured following a knife attack in Sagamihara, Kanazawa Prefecture, outside Tokyo.

A knife-wielding man attacked a residential care facility for the disabled at 2:30 am local time (July 26, 2016).  A former staff member escaped, then returned, and turned himself into police.

Reports indicate that over 45 people have been injured.

Mass violence such as this is rare in Japan, and an incident like this has not occurred for decades.

An ancient city, Sagamihara was home to the Yokoyama clan, one of the seven warrior clans of the Musashi region during the early Kamakura period. The city has a population of over 700,000 people.

Thanks for the alert from Mike Playfair.

Taunton Mall and Grafing Stabbings

Taunton Mall Stabbings

Two people are dead after a stabbing and shooting at a mall and a home in Taunton, Massachusetts, and their attacker has also been killed after being shot by an off-duty police officer, state police said.

Massachusetts State Police and Taunton Police responded to a report of a shooting and stabbing at the Silver City Galleria Mall on Galleria Drive and a related crime scene at a home on Myrick Street at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators determined the assailant, identified as 28-year-old Arthur DaRosa of Taunton, was shot and killed at the mall by an off-duty officer.

Two victims who were stabbed inside the home on Myrick Street were a mother and daughter.

They were both taken to Morton Hospital where one of the women, an 80-year-old, succumbed to her injuries. The other victim suffered serious injuries.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day....

Grafing Bahnhof Stabbings

On 10 May 2016, there was a 5 a.m. attack at the Grafing train station, near Munich, Germany. One person was killed, three injured, as the man with a knife was quickly arrested. He yelled "Allahu Akbar," Arabic for "God is great."

Barefoot Assailant

The Grafing Bahnhof suspect was taken into custody with bare feet, and his shoes could not be found. Was this a ritualistic killing of some type?

From Jewish and Christian traditions...
Moses was instructed to remove his shoes before approaching the burning bush:
"Put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest [is] holy ground" ~ Exodus 3:5.
to Muslim...

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,
“The Hour will not be established-till the people of the desert (the camel shepherds) compete with one another in constructing high buildings.”
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on the minor signs of the last day.
On being asked on the signs of the last day, the Prophet (peace be upon him) mentions: “you shall see the barefoot, naked, penniless shepherds competing in constructing high buildings.” This hadith describes people who become rich all of a sudden and then build not for need but only in competition. Prophetic Miracle of Muhammad {saw}: Desert Arabs competing in building skyscrapers.

Is there symbolism in the settings? In the context of what is occurring in Germany? This photograph above, from March 2015, was used again today by the International Business Times, regarding this Grafing attack. What it actually shows is armed police officers guarding the St Petri Dome, next to the town hall of the northern German city Bremen. (Photo by Morris MacMatzen.) Below are detailed images of what is vaguely seen behind the armed police above.

"Munich knife attack: One dead as man shouting 'Allahu Akbar' attacks four at train station in Grafing, Germany" screams the UK's Telegraph headlines. Contained in that article were the details on the greater alert:
Police in neighbouring Czechia (Chezch Republic) have evacuated several schools, town halls and railway stations across the country after receiving an anonymous tip-off that they were to be targetted in coordinated bomb attacks.
The main train station and municipal buildings in the capital Prague were affected, along with the train station and city hall in the western city of Pilsen.
A total of 14 different locations around the country were involved. The evacuations began at around 10am local time (am BST) after the authorities received detailed tip-offs including the timings bombs would go off at the various locations.
In the central city of Pardubice, which was also affected, staff at the city hall said they had received a tip-off in a phone call.
"At about 8.30am we received an anonymous phone call saying that a bomb would go off in the city hall at 12pm. We immediately contacted the police," Radim Jelinek, a spokesman for the municpality said.
The anonynpus tipster apaprently made no attempt to hide their telephone number.
"We handed over the phone number of the anonymous caller, because it showed up in the caller ID," Mr Jelinek said.
A spokesman for the Bavarian police told Welt newspaper the suspect, identified as "Paul H.," was born in Germany and does not have an immigrant background.

The spokesman confirmed reports the 27-year-old was a resident of the town of Giessen in the Hesse state in central Germany.

Grafing coat of arms: A bear.

Grafing station (German: Grafing Bahnhof) is a station in the Bavarian town of Grafing and a station of the Munich S-Bahn. There is also the S-Bahn station of Grafing Stadt ("Grafing town") in central Grafing. Grafing station was opened along with the Munich–Rosenheim railway on 15 October 1871.

The town of Garfing, founded about 960 as Gisling, belonged to the Munich Rentamt and the Swabian legal district in the Electorate of Bavaria. During the Thirty Years' War, Grafing was looted and set on fire by Swedish troops in 1632. Only the castle Elkofen, so the legend, was overlooked by Swedish troops.

Could this attack have been done by a person engaging his “enemy” as a “Juramentado”? Barefoot, praising Allah, using a knife, and killing Christians?

Juramentado is an archaic term derived from the Spanish word juramentar, meaning one who takes an oath. Some sources link amoks (from the Malayan term for "out of control") and juramentados as similar culture-specific syndromes while others draw distinctions of religious preparation and state of mind. A Moro might be said to have "gone juramentado" or be "running juramentado."
Juramentado, in Philippine history, refers to a male Moro swordsman who attacked and killed targeted occupying and invading Christian police and soldiers, expecting to be killed himself, the martyrdom undertaken as an unorthodox form of personal offensive jihad, considered a form of suicide attack.

Candidates, known as mag-sabil, "who endure the pangs of death," were selected from Muslim youth inspired to martyrdom by the teaching of Imams. Parents were consulted before the young men were permitted by the sultan to undergo training and preparation for Parang-sabil (the path to Paradise). After an oath taken, hand on the Qur'an, the chosen took a ritual bath, all body hair was shaved, and the eyebrows trimmed to resemble "a moon two days old." A strong band was wrapped firmly around the waist, and cords wrapped tightly around the genitals, ankles, knees, upper thighs, wrists, elbows, and shoulders, restricting blood flow and preventing the mag-sabil from losing too much blood from injury before accomplishing his gruesome task. Clad in white robe and turban, the chosen youth would polish and sharpen his weapons before action.

At the moment of attack, the mag-sabil would approach a large group of Christians, shout "La ilaha il-la'l-lahu" ("There is no god but Allah"), draw kris or barong and then rush into the group swinging his sword, killing and maiming as many victims as possible in the time he had left. The true believer, however, faced a theologic conundrum. If the observant Juramentado believed that his murders pleased Allah, he could not admit that the inevitable consequences of his attacks constituted suicide, per se, as their Qur'an forbids it. To reconcile the inconsistency, they fashioned themselves as martyrs of their own making, coaxing their way into Paradise with the spilled blood of numerous enemies of the faith on their hands. In effect, however, the tactic more closely resembles murder/suicide. The Juramentado—acting neither in self-defense nor through selfless altruism—commits to murder, and his own self-destruction, solely for the promise of his perception of personal gain. After death, the mag-sabil's body would be washed and again wrapped in white for burial. In the unlikely event the mag-sabil survived his attack, it was believed his body would ascend to Paradise after 40 years had passed. Source.

Fayette Factor: Fayetteville Woods Machete Attack

Looks like the weird Fayette Factor has hit again.

Police responding to stabbing near University of Arkansas of Fayetteville campus.
Three People Hurt in University of Arkansas Machete Attack
Sep. 4, 2015 7:38am Associated Press
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Officials say a man with a machete injured two people during an attack in a wooded area of the University of Arkansas campus.
University spokesman Steve Voorhies says the attack happened around 7:15 Thursday night. He says no one involved is believed to be a student and campus operations weren’t affected. One of the victims was in critical condition.
University police Capt. Matt Mills says the suspect was also injured in the incident. He was taken to a hospital and has since been arrested.
Mills said police were collecting evidence at the scene and conducting interviews at the hospital late Thursday. He says it isn’t immediately clear what prompted the attack. No identities were released.
Voorhies says the attack happened in the same area as a homicide earlier this year.
Voorhies Castle, 1902
Voorhies is an intriguing name, as the infamous Voorhies Castle in central Illinois is well-known in geographic occult lore. I investigated the place myself, quite skeptically, and was surprised to have actually experienced a "cold spot" in the middle of a room and unusual noises. The nearby area was of interest to me because of phantom panther cases.

Voorhies means "one who lived in front of Hess, a town in Gelderland, in Holland."

Ashley Kyle Pettey

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- University of Arkansas police identified a man who is accused of injuring two people with a machete Thursday (Sept. 3), according to authorities.
The suspect was identified as Ashley Kyle Pettey, 36, according to an arrest report.
Police said they responded to a reported stabbing call near a wooded area east of Razorback Road and south of Martin Luther King Boulevard at around 7:18 p.m.
Pettey was in his campsite when the two victims confronted him saying he had to move his camp so as not to attract attention to the area, the arrest report states. An argument broke out after Pettey refused and when the confrontation got physical he pulled out a machete with an 11 inch blade, according to the report. Pettey swung the machete several times hitting both victims in the neck, the report states.

IKEA Attack Leaves Two Dead

As I noted in "IKEA Even Set The Clock At 2:37," the store is very aware of the Stanley Kubrick syncs and twilight language messages.

Today, an attack (after 1:00 pm local time) at a Swedish IKEA store brings the notion of "Redrum" (murder) home. (See also, "Kubrick Red: Redrum, Redrug and More.")

+++++++++++
++++++++++++++++++++

Two people, a man and woman, were killed at the Ikea location. Another man, 35, was seriously injured in the knife attack at an Ikea store in Vasteras, Sweden, on August 10, 2015. The victims were "ordinary shoppers" in the kitchen accessory section, Mattias Johansson, the store manager said.

Two suspects (unnamed thus far) were arrested. One of the suspects was apprehended at the scene and the second, who was seriously injured, was picked up at a hospital a few hours later, commanding police officer Per Agren said at a press conference. How he was injured was not clear.

The suspects were two men born in 1992 and 1979 who probably knew each other, Agren said. They had no connection with the victims and the motive for the attack was not known, he said.

The Erikslund shopping center containing the store had been closed. The Ikea store in Vasteras, which is about 70 miles (115km) west of the capital Stockholm, is one of the largest in the country.

Local police said they had been called to the store around 1300 CET (0700 ET).

Västerås is one of the oldest cities in Sweden and Northern Europe. The name originates from Västra Aros, which refers to the river mouth of Svartån. The area has been populated since the Nordic Viking Age, before 1000 AD. In the beginning of the 11th century it was the second largest city in Sweden, and by the 12th century had become the seat of the bishop.

Anundshög is located just outside the City of Västerås. Anundshög is Sweden's largest burial mound. "Hög" is derived from the Old Norse word haugr meaning mound or barrow. It was built about 500 AD and is over 74 yards wide and is almost 10 yards high.

In the 18th and 19th centuries the growing of cucumber became popular, and Västerås received the nickname Gurkstaden (the Cucumber City), which it still retains today.

Pearl Harbor: A Synchromystical Place?

Americans tend to brutally and concretely remember the "Pearl Harbor Attack." I find great affection for the Japanese today, but my mother (born in 1927) grew up hating them. This generational split about "December 7th" is disappearing, and we can now speak to the fact that the location is mystical. There is another side of Pearl Harbor. I'm not talking about the many myths associated with the actual 1941 military action (see here). It was a place of legends before 1941, and has developed its own new tales since then.

Legends of ancient Hawaii tell of waters called Puuloa, which was the home of the beneficent Shark Goddess Kaahupahau. Her sharks were man's protectors against many evil spirits and also against the other "man-eating sharks."
The legends, when first recorded in the 19th Century, refer to Ewa as the first area populated on Oahu by the immigrant Polynesians. One Ewa king, Chief Keaunui, is credited with deepening the entrance of the harbour to 15 feet in about the year 1650. During those years and into the 20th Century numerous fish ponds and fish traps were in the entrance and in the many lochs of that body of water. Most were maintained for royal use only.
As early as 1796 European visitors recorded that those waters produced oysters which were used for food, and that pearls were frequently found in them. The pearls were milk white, spherical, and of exquisite lustre. By 1810 the king had found the trading value of the pearls and kept them under royal control.
In the same year (1810), the river leading into the bay was referred to as Wymumme, and in 1819 as Wy Momi which, translated to English, is Pearl River. (The difference in spelling is that of the person recording the spoken word.) Again in 1836 it was recorded that the small pearl oyster was quite abundant and common on the table. From about that time on, the large area of water at the mouth of the river was called Pearl Harbour.
For generations the land surrounding Pearl Harbour was subject to natural erosion and the attrition of "civilization" which allowed much of the harbour to be filled with mud. The oysters could not survive in the mud and were nearly extinct by the late 19th Century.
A visitor from the United States noted in 1840 that there was a depth of 15 feet over the coral bar at the harbour entrance. He suggested to the U.S. Government that they attempt an agreement with the Hawaiian king for the use of the harbour for U.S. ships. This was not acted upon until 1873 and not agreed until 1898. Then the actual work of deepening and widening the channel wasn't started until 1901, at which time a coaling station for the fuelling of ships was erected just inside the entrance. Source.

Pearl Harbor was originally an extensive deep embayment called Wai Nomi (meaning, “pearl water”) or Puʻuloa (meaning, “long hill”) by the Hawaiians. Puʻuloa was regarded as the neighbor of the dolphin god, Kaʻahupahau, and his brother (or father), Kahiʻuka, in Hawaiian legends. According to tradition, Keaunui, the head of the powerful Ewu chiefs, is credited with cutting a navigable channel near the present Puʻuloa saltworks, by which he made the estuary, known as "Pearl Lake," accessible to navigation. Making due allowance for legendary amplification, the estuary already had an outlet for its waters where the present gap is; but Keaunui is typically given the credit for widening and deepening it. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have a story in their mythos that a Japanese bomber refused to bomb the Laie Hawaii Temple during the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

The temporal importance of Pearl Harbor Day was reinforced immediately, and lives on today.

USS Wisconsin (BB-64), "Wisky" or "WisKy," is an Iowa-class battleship, the second ship of the United States Navy to be named in honor of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. She was built at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and launched on December 7, 1943 (the second anniversary of the Pearl Harbor raid), sponsored by the wife of Governor of Wisconsin, Walter Goodland. That was during the time of the Philadelphia Experiment, allegedly. Was Pearl Harbor the motivation behind the Philadelphia Experiment, if it even existed?

What special synchromysticism do you associate with Pearl Harbor?

at the lips which never question."
