Trinidad 33

The Holy Trinity jumps to our consciousness from the Red (the meaning of Colorado).

An Amtrak train crashed in to a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country in Colorado on Sunday, June 26, 2016.

This tragedy must be pondered, as it occurred three miles from Trinidad, Colorado.  (Anyone know the name of the peak in the background here? Fishers Peak, answer my correspondents,)

3 + Trinity = 33

The van's right side was hit after it failed to yield the right of way to the train, Colorado State Patrol said in a news release.

The driver and four passengers were killed. One occupant was airlifted to Denver Hospital with injuries police described as serious. Six people.

Investigators say the crash happened on Las Animas County Road 32, around three miles north of Trinidad. 9NEWS sister station KOAA-TV reports the parents who died were Christina and Steve Miller.  (Christina links to the "Christ" undercurrent here, of course.) Las Animas Road further plays into the religious theme: Las Animas means "the souls" or "the spirits," often referring to the dead in Purgatory.

Their children, Abigail, Kathryn and Ellianna also passed away. Four-year-old Heidi Miller was the only survivor.

No train passengers or crew members were hurt.

Authorities said the van was not stopped on the railroad tracks.

The crash happened about three miles north of Trinidad, Colorado.

The town of Trinidad has had an underlying history linked to baseball and other sports.
Trinidad was first explored by Spanish and Mexican traders, who liked its proximity to the Santa Fe Trail. It was founded in 1862 soon after coal was discovered in the region. This led to an influx of immigrants, eager to capitalize on this important natural resource. By the late 1860s, the town had about 1,200 residents. Trinidad was officially incorporated in 1876, just a few months before Colorado became a state.  An important milestone for the town occurred in 1878, when the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway reached Trinidad, making it easier for goods to be shipped from distant locations. In the 1880s, Trinidad became home to a number of well-known people, including Bat Masterson, who briefly served as the town's marshal in 1882. By 1900, the population of Trinidad had grown to 7,500. It was now home to two English-language newspapers, and one that was published in Spanish.

In the early 1900s, Trinidad became nationally known for having the first woman sports editor of a newspaper, Ina Eloise Young. Her expertise was in baseball, and in 1908, she was the only woman sportswriter to cover the World Series. During the same period of time, Trinidad was also home to a popular semi-pro baseball team, which was briefly coached by Damon Runyon. The Legends of the West...The Wild West's Trinity, all with ties to Trinidad, Colorado, however brief.

The infamous Ludlow Massacre is also associated with Trinidad, Colorado. Many people died in the "massacre."

Trinidad is a Spanish name directly related to the "Holy Trinity."
Trinidad is the larger and more populated of the two major islands that make up the island nation of "The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago." Trinidad is the southernmost island in the Caribbean and lies just 11 km (6.8 mi) off the northeastern coast of Venezuela. The original name for the island in the native Arawak language is "IĆ«re," believed to mean "Land of the Hummingbird." Christopher Columbus renamed it "La Isla de la Trinidad" ("The Island of the Trinity"), fulfilling a vow he had made before setting out on his third voyage of exploration. Trinidad and Tobago is known for its Carnival and is considered to be the birthplace of the steelpan (steel drum) musical instrument, limbo dancing, and the musical styles of calypso, soca, and chutney. Red Dawn in the UK

There was a new red dawn in London on June 24, 2016. Voters in the United Kingdom voted to exit the European Union.

CNN put it this way:

Britain has voted to leave the EU, a shock development with profound implications for markets and economies around the world.
Here's what you need to know:

After a long night of vote counting, CNN, along with major UK media outlets, called the race for the “Leave” campaign. It leads by more than 1 million votes with 90% of districts reporting.

Markets are a bloodbath: The pound has already plunged more than 13% to below $1.33, its lowest level since 1985. London’s main stock index is also set to tank when it opens for trading.

In Asia, Japan's Nikkei tanked 6.7%, and Hong Kong's main index dropped 3.7%. Futures suggest that New York is also in for a rough trading day.

Investors are searching for safety: Look for gold and U.S. Treasuries to spike as money pours into perceived safe havens.

The big takeaway? This isn’t a one-day event. Britain’s decision to depart from the EU has injected huge amounts of uncertainty into markets, and it has the potential to upend Europe’s established political order. Buckle up!
Tweets began appearing, stating:

In what part of Red Dawn does this #Brexit thing take place again? ~ @BarefootBoomer (an US Army strategist).
And, by a published author,
Now for wrath, now for ruin, and a red dawn. ~ @ActuallyAisha.
Drudge posted these:

June 24th is St. John's Day. Give a hug to your favorite Ufologist. Lots of them die on this date. As I have mentioned often, the date of the "first" sighting in the "modern era of flying saucers" is June 24th, and it is especially linked to the "Deaths of Ufologists," including a loss as recently as 2015. Watch the news today and in the forthcoming days to reveal what happened today.

I saw something like this on the horizon. See my June 17th Red Dawn Alert and the followup on June 19th.

In the short term, this has just begun. See "U.K. 'earthquake' crushes global markets." David Cameron has resigned. More to come.

And "buckle up."

German Cinema Shooting

A mass shooting at a Kinopolis cinema in Viernheim, Germany, has left 25 people wounded, German public TV reports. One account said several people had been killed and 50 others injured.

Viernheim (the red dot) is in western Germany, near Frankfurt (the black dot) is southwest of Berlin (the starred dot).
At least that was the early report.
Later media accounts said people were hurt by tear gas.
That news was later withdrawn, as well.
A man dressed in a costume, who was taken to be dressed up for a movie, was seen by a popcorn attendant. The masked individual with a rifle asked for the theater to be locked, as he allegedly took hostages and fired four shots into the air.
Patrons of the theater were unharmed, despite reports initially to the contrary. No hostages were injured and the gunman was shot and killed by the Spezialeinsatzkommando.
Allegedly this all happened as a showing of Zootopia was to begin. It will be recalled Zootopia was the movie that played right before Lane Graves was taken by an alligator, at Disney World, Orlando.
Also playing at the theater was Clockwork Orange.

Star Trek's New Chekov Has Been Taken

Anton Viktorovich Yelchin (born March 11, 1989) died at 1:10 am PDT, Sunday, June 19, 2016, when his car rolled backwards down his driveway, pinning him against a brick mailbox pillar and security fence. Yelchin was an American film and television actor, known for portraying Pavel Chekov in the Star Trek reboot series, and for several other prominent roles.

Yelchin began performing in the late 1990s, appearing in several television roles and the Hollywood films Along Came a Spider and Hearts in Atlantis (both 2001).

Yelchin's role as Jacob Clarke in the Steven Spielberg UFO abduction television miniseries Taken (2002) was significant in furthering his career as a child actor. (Was his character's moniker a name game from the writers of Taken? David Jacobs and Jerome Clark are two well-known ufology researchers and authors whose names may have been slightly modified as an in-joke.)

Late for a rehearsal, it was early in the morning of June 19, 2016, when friends found Yelchin at his Studio City, California home in what was described as a "freak accident." Reportedly, he had walked around his car when it was in neutral, and it had rolled down his steep driveway, hitting him. He was pronounced dead later that day at the age of 27.
Like the original actor who played Chekov in the famous Star Trek TV series from the 1960s, Walter Koenig, Yelchin was Russian-American Jewish [actor]. Koenig's son, Joshua Andrew Koenig, an actor himself, [died by] suicide at the age of 41 in 2010. [He disappeared on February 14, Valentine's Day, and his body was found on February 25, 2010. A group of 11 of his friends and family members searching for Koenig found his body hanging from a tree in Stanley Park in downtown Vancouver.] Joshua [Andrew] Koenig had a minor role [as Tumak] in a Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode in 1993. The name of the Star Trek character Chekov, of course, is synonymous [as Anton Chekhov] with the famous Russian playwright who died relatively young at 44, from tuberculosis [on July 14 1904]. ~ Lawrence.
Joshua Koenig in his role as Joker (2003).

Joshua Koenig played the role of The Joker in the critically successful 2003 fan film Batman: Dead End. Directed by commercial director Sandy Collora, the short received its first screening at the San Diego Comic-Con International. Director Kevin Smith called it "possibly the truest, best Batman movie ever made."

J Andrew Koenig's wiki page informs us that as a little boy, Koenig served as the inspiration for genre writer Harlan Ellison's noted short story Jeffty is Five, which won the Nebula and Hugo awards. Ellison knew Koenig as a little boy through his father, Walter Koenig, the original Star Trek Chekov as stated above. Ellison had written for the original Star Trek Series, notably the episode "The City on the Edge of Forever" broadcast in the first season, in 1967. It would win a Hugo for Best Dramatic Presentation in 1968 and is considered one of the most memorable of the original Star Trek TV episodes. Ellison published a book in the 1990s on this episode and his involvement therein, entitled The City on the Edge of Forever. ~ further from Lawrence.

Walter Koenig, August 30, 2014, DragonCon, where we were
both appearing/giving talks.

As many have pointed out, Anton Yelchin joins the "27 Club." The 27 Club is a term that refers to a number of popular musicians who died at age 27, often as a result of drug and alcohol abuse, or violent means such as homicide or suicide. Besides his acting, Yelchin once played in a punk band named The Hammerheads.

Yelchin was born on March 11, 1989. That same day, a former US Congressman, Democrat James Kee (b. April 15, 1917) died March 11, 1989. He lived his life in Fayetteville, West Virginia. March 11th is numerologically recalled for the Japanese earthquake of 3.11.2011.

Yelchin died 33 days before the next, new Star Trek movie opens on July 22, 2016. Star Trek Beyond is the thirteenth film in the Star Trek film franchise and the third installment in the reboot series after Star Trek Into Darkness (2013).

My condolences to the family and friends of Yelchin, Koenig, and others who died tragically, by suicide and otherwise.

Cox Deaths, Another Voice Killing, and Red Dawn Coming

Famed Australian award-winning filmmaker Paul Cox died Sunday, June 18, 2016. He was widely recognized as "Australia's most prolific film auteur."

Paul Cox

"Cox's delicate films have been pockmarked with life's uncertainty. Loneliness within relationships is a staple of the Cox oeuvre, too," said his filmmaker collaborator and friend David Wenham.

Paul Cox was born Paulus Henrique Benedictus Cox on April 16, 1940, in Venlo, Limburg, the Netherlands, the son of Else (nĆ©e Kuminack), a native of Germany, and Wim Cox, a documentary film producer. He is remembered for his documentaries like Vincent (1987), and his personal, lonely narrative fiction films, which in recent years, have mirrored his own challenges with a liver transplant.

Paul Cox's death followed by two days the assassination in West Yorkshire, UK, of Jo Cox, the British Labour Party Member of Parliament for Batley and Spen.

Jo Cox

Helen Joanne "Jo" Cox (nĆ©e Leadbetter) was born on 22 June 1974 in Batley, West Yorkshire, England, and raised in Heckmondwike. Her mother was a school secretary while her father worked in a toothpaste and hairspray factory. She was educated at Heckmondwike Grammar School, a state grammar school, where she was head girl. During summers, she worked packing toothpaste.

On June 16, 2016, Jo Cox was shot and stabbed multiple times in Birstall, West Yorkshire, England, shortly before she was due to hold a constituency meeting. A 52-year-old man, Thomas Mair, shouted "Britain First!" during the attack. Thomas Alexander "Tommy" Mair (Mair meaning "Mary") was born August 12, 1963 in Kilmarnock, Scotland. He was arrested in connection with Cox's death and subsequently charged with murder and other offenses. Mair, charged in the killing of Jo Cox, stated his name as "Death to traitors, freedom for Britain" to UK Court.

The claims that Mair had allegedly bought a number of manuals from an extremist group in the US was uncovered by the Southern Poverty Law Centre (SPLC), a civil rights organization in the US. It said Mair made the purchases between 1999 and 2003. Receipts for items also included Ich KƤmpfe, an illustrated handbook issued to members of the Nazi party in 1942.

Cox appears to derive from the hills found in Carmarthenshire, Wales, where Cox may have been a topographic name for a man "from the red hills." The meaning appears derived from cock or coch, and means "from the hills," or from cocc, which means "the little," or derived from coch, meaning "the Red." Other forms point to the English, from Cocke in any the senses described + the suffix -s denoting "son of" or "servant of" Irish (Ulster), mistranslation of Mac Con Coille ("son of CĆŗ Choille," a personal name meaning "hound of the wood"), as if formed with coileach "cock," "rooster," the bird that heralds the dawn!

The recent wave of violence in Orlando began, you will recall, when singer Christina Grimmie, 22, who gained fame as a contestant on television singing contest The Voice, was hit by three shots at a concert in Orlando, Florida, on Friday, June 10, and died on June 11, 2016. (For twilight details, see here.)

On Friday, June 17, 2016, Attrell Cordes, better known as Prince Be from the '90s R&B duo P.M. Dawn, died at 46 from kidney disease. "Literally a Dawn Prince," Robert Sullivan writes me.

On Saturday, June 18, 2016, another former contestant on the singing contest The Voice, the Mexican version, died after earlier being shot in Illinois. The death on Saturday of Alejandro "Jano" Fuentes, 45, was confirmed by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. The singer was shot three times in the head late Thursday in an ambush outside the Tras Bambalinas School, his performing arts studio on Chicago's southwest side.

Grimmie had been shot three times in the head too.

Alejandro means "defender," "protector of mankind."

Jano is a form of John, "the grace or mercy of Jehovah," "favor of the Lord."

Fuentes is a Spanish surname meaning, "a spring," "a well," "a fountain."

Various images of Orlando's logo are based on their famed Lake Eola Park fountain.

Yesterday, I wrote of the potential for another Red Dawn on June 20th.

Less we forget, St. John's Day/Midsummer's Day revisits us again on June 24th. I have written extensively about St. John's Day associations in 2015, and 2012. Being the anniversary of the "first" sighting in the "modern era of flying saucers," the date of June 24th is especially linked to the "Deaths of Ufologists," including a loss as recently as 2015.

On Thursday, June 16, 2016 (6.16.16), Marco Rubio ("Mars Red") took his first flight on Air Force One with President Obama to Orlando, to meet the families of the victims of the Pulse shootings.

A red greeting in...

New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez and her husband Chuck Franco, left, greeted President Barack Obama, followed by daughter Malia Obama, on the First Family's arrival in Roswell, New Mexico, Friday, June 17, 2016. The Obama family was traveling to Carlsbad Caverns National Park to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the creation of America's national park system.

Okay, over the weekend, President Obama was in Roswell, New Mexico, and Donald Trump held a fundraising meeting in Barry Goldwater's old Arizona home, ''Be-nun-i-kin,'' which is Navajo for ''house on top of a hill."

Be-nun-i-kin

Trump goes to dedicate a golf course in Scotland, leaving on June 22, and opening the course on the 24th.

Certainly, my readers are feeling "something" in the air too:

Twilight language analyst Enki King wonders about
...the release date of Helen Reddy’s 1973 cover of Delta Dawn? The song popped into my head earlier, and the combination of "Dawn" in the title and "Red" in the recording artist’s name strikes me as being possibly significant, especially since the recent Red Dawn shooting rampage at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub on the day of the Tony Awards drew attention to Reddy’s soft rock contemporaries Tony Orlando and Dawn. If the release date happens to be June 20, your prediction of a Red Dawn event on June 20 of this year would be reinforced. An event related to the word “Delta,” like a crash or hijacking of a Delta jet, might even be expected.
Mysteriously, no exact release date is to be found during our mutual search for Reddy's version of Delta Dawn, other than "June 1973."

But this morning, Enki writes, a film studies associate found the date: "Delta Dawn was released as the first single from the album on June 11, 1973, debuted on Billboard's Hot 100 later that month, in the issue of the magazine dated June 23, and enjoyed 20 weeks there, one of which was at number one."

Joe Mehl writes, noting that
...some things have jumped out at me regarding the Swiss tunnel ceremony leading up to the events in Orlando. The date 6.12.2016 can be summed up as 6.12.18 or the succession of 666 which no matter how you cut it the date eventually breaks down to a 9 root number for the date. I think the combination of the luciferin celebration on 6.1.2016 with a 7 root leading up to the George H W Bush Birthday of the Orlando Massacre (ritual blood sacrifice) Orlando has deep roots with Disney's love affair with the lore of the evil deity. Also I unfortunately think that the child who was snatched by an Alligator is also symbolic and connects to the tunnel ceremony (path to the grave). I would assume 6/21/2016 being the next succession of the root 9 will be a continuation of this "summoning" Regardless of my numerical hunches about the dates, I think the root problem here is that these massacres are not put into perspective for what they really are a continuation of. Anyway, I'm not drawing any conclusions but I think your summation of the Solstice Full Moon being a volatile ticking bomb are worrisome.
Joe also mentioned the Wounded Knee Massacre, which was on my mind heavily, as well, yesterday, as I pondered the Orlando events and their Sebastian-Fort Pierce links to the Boston Marathon, during my time at the Portland Pride Parade with my wife Jenny.

I am having strong angry First Peoples thoughts, of late, for a variety of reasons.

Just in - Chris Kraska sent this my way, after reading the above: "Loren's post reminded me of this tidbit about the Orlando shooting victim in the conspiracy theory story" from the New York Daily News:

The photo was snapped on the day Carter [a Pulse shooting survivor] was discharged from the hospital. She wore a pair of red, rhinestone “Dorothy” slippers on her feet and wrote in the pic's caption that there was “No place like home.”
Villarreal, after reading the above, sent this along:
Ritchie Blackmore has started touring again with "Rainbow" in Germany, as of 6/16/16. He opened the show with Dorothy saying, "We're not in Kansas anymore." And, "There's no place like home."
I also saw a promo poster for Rainbow with a yellow brick road.
Ties into your post today about the ruby slippers.
Ritchie has been gone from rock for 19 years.
I expect a weird week ahead. It feels like the purple rain has moved on to be another red dawn.

(Thanks for other thoughts from Joe Mehl, Enki King, Robert Sullivan, Chris Tian, Steve Lindsay, Theo Paijmans, Robert Schneck, Nate Arthur, Andrew West Griffin, Villarreal, and many more. It is a stirring time.)

Red Dawn Alert ~ Full Moon on Summer Solstice: Shooting Spree, Assassination, or Quake Coming?

Sources repeating the Farmer's Almanac say it was the Algonquin First Peoples, but I find the Anishnaabe (Ojibwe) and the Sioux are the peoples who call the June full moon, "The Strawberry Moon." In Europe, it is referred to as "The Full Rose Moon."

The June full moon is symbolically "red" because that is when certain crops are seen, not because the June moon is scarlet in the sky. But this twilight language in the name is significant.

In the Northern Hemisphere, 2016's full moon happens to fall on the same day as the first day of summer, the summer solstice.

Strawberries are red. Roses are red. This year, the June full moon, traditionally said to be red, will become full at dawn. A red dawn. Readers of this Twilight Language blog know that the hidden message of "red dawn" is about pivotal violent situations.

For example, in July 2012, the Aurora, Colorado shooting was a "red dawn," a milestone awakening event. Colorado means "red," and Aurora means "dawn." Later in December 2012, in Newtown/Sandy Hook, Connecticut, that "red dawn" event included the actual killing of a Dawn.

In 2016, the June Full Strawberry Moon is at its peak fullness near dawn, at 7:02 AM Eastern Daylight Savings Time, on Monday, June 20. The exact time for the solstice is 6:34 PM EDT. Almost three hours later, the full moon will rise in the East on Monday at 8:10 PM EDT.

Will mass shootings, assassinations, mental health outbursts, suicides, murder-suicides, volcanoes, and earthquakes visit some people on June 20-21, 2016?

One astrologer, Timothy Halloran of the Rasa Lila Healing network, said on 6.16.16, that the alignment of the full moon and solstice will bring about "madness, hallucinations and delusions of grandeur."

Also, Halloran is reported to have said: "People do go on shooting sprees."
The video [is] called Full Moon in Sagittarius, June 16 2016 - Psychic Warfare and Crusading.
In it he said: "Words such as enlightenment and illumination generally are perceived as being wonderful and pleasant things that we should strive for and desire to achieve.
"Yet the light is piercing, and it is hot, and it can be unbearable at times, particularly for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere during the Summer Solstice, when the Sun scorches down and we have our longest day of the year.
"Coinciding with this celestial event (a day before) we have a Full Moon at the final degree of Sagittarius square to Chiron.
"He said at the time Mercury would activate a 'mutable grand cross between Saturn, Jupiter and a stationed retrograde Neptune'.
He said: "To Say that this is a stable time to be awake and aware would be a lie.
"The transitioning occurring now is like a giant wave crashing onto the shore of our own perspectives and beliefs, scattering debris everywhere, and in so doing also ripping a hole through the veil; Exposing a reality we never knew existed underneath."
In a rambling 40-minute video, Mr Halloran said: "We are in the closing square. This is when this s***t starts to fall apart.
"This is what is may going on with this full moon in Sagittarius, the ripping away of veils "This is a critical time energetically. This is a time when people go off the deep end, people lose control." More, read here.

Orlando Gator Attack

'

In the wake of the deaths from the gunning down of Christina Grimmie and 49 people at Pulse, now Orlando, Florida, has been shocked by an alligator attack.

Beyond seemingly any sense of reason, sync or coincidence, this has occurred:
"14 June 2016. A two-year-old boy [on vacation with his family from Nebraska] was dragged into the water by an alligator near a Disney World hotel in Orlando - despite his desperate father's attempts to wrestle his son from the reptile's jaws. The boy was dragged into the Seven Seas Lagoon near the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa around 9.20pm on Tuesday."

A number of people, including a lifeguard, witnessed the horrific gator attack, which took place as hotel guests watched the film Zootopia near the beach. Source.

Zootopia (released March 4, 2016)

The face of the Orange County Sheriff's department, Jerry Demings, so familiar from multiple news conferences on the Pulse attack, was there again, before cameras, to share what he could on the search for the toddler.

The "family was out simply relaxing,” Demings said. “They were wading at the water’s edge when the alligator attacked the child.”

Demings said the toddler’s father struggled with the alligator to try to save his son, “but was not successful.” The mother also went into the water after the boy.

The family alerted a nearby lifeguard that an alligator had attacked the child. The family, who were visiting from Nebraska, were staying at the Grand Floridian, Demings said.

There are "No Swimming" signs at the lagoon and no one else was in the water at the time of the attack besides the child, Demings said.

This body of water is not for recreational swimming "likely for that very reason," the reason being alligators.

"This is Florida and it's not uncommon for alligators to be in bodies of water," he said.

Declan Salcido, who's on vacation with relatives from San Jose, California, was coming back from the animal kingdom when the first ambulance arrived just after 9:15 p.m. ET.

He said there are many "No Swimming" signs near the lagoon visible "from any vantage point."

At a 4:35 pm news conference on June 15, 2016, Sheriff Jerry Demings announced that the toddler 's body was recovered intact and identified as Lane Graves. He and his parents, Matt and Melissa Graves are from Elkhorn, Nebraska.

The name Lane is English and is from a surname meaning "lane, path," which originally belonged to a person who lived near a lane.

The name Graves, like Grimmie, are overtly associated with death, cemeteries, and dark matters.

The surname Graves is an occupational name - from the Middle English greyve and Low German greve meaning "steward" or "person in charge of property."

"The serfs in the English manors usually elected one of their number annually to oversee their work for the lord."

The earliest origins of the name Graves date back to the Anglo-Saxons, where the baptismal name Reeve is a surname that refers to son of Reeve. The surname Graves also referred to manager or overseer as an occupational surname.

Elkhorn is a neighborhood on the western edge of the city of Omaha, Nebraska, with a  population of 6,062 for the 2000 census. Elkhorn is from the "horn of the elk," or "antler," originating from the names of the local Native American groups there.

In my twilight language book, The Copycat Effect: How the Media and Popular Culture Trigger the Mayhem in Tomorrow's Headlines (NY: Simon and Schuster, 2004), I noted:
The summer of 2001 began quietly enough, with local newspapers in Florida talking about some deathly events, which before it was over, had everyone wondering if every lagoon in the Sunshine State was crawling with human-eating alligators. At first, the stories were only of local interest. On May 4, 2001, an 8-foot alligator in a Venice pond killed Samuel Wetmore, 70, near his home in Sarasota County, Florida. On June 23, 2001, little Alexandria Murphy, 2, wandered from her Winter Haven back yard, then was dragged into Lake Cannon in Polk County, Florida, by a 6 1/2-foot gator and killed.

Then all hell broke loose, with the media engaging in epidemic reporting, taking up the thread of 'gator and crocs as the next big new threat on the horizon. Alligators were popping up everywhere. By the end of that month, I had accounts crossing my desk of out-of-place caimans, alligators, and crocodiles being seen and caught in downstate New Hampshire (a 2.5 ft caiman), Central Park New York City (a 2 ft caiman), and on the same day, June 27, 2001, from Buffalo, New York (a 4 ft alligator caught) and off an island in the middle of the Rhine River, Germany (a 5 ft “crocodile” sighted but not caught).

The alligator attacks concentrated in Florida, however. On Sunday, July 1, 2001, a human arm that “appeared to have been bitten” off by an alligator, was found in a canal west of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The rest of the body could not be found. A sort of high sad comedy was reached when the Florida papers published this kind of remark from a member of the Broward County Sheriff’s Department: “We're sure if they survived and they're missing a right arm, they would have come forward by now. Detectives have no idea what happened with this body part, whether it was some sort of accident and the person was eaten by an alligator and this is what's left.”

During the next week in July, echoes of the Florida ‘gators were heard in the Midwest again. Authorities were reporting the sightings of three alligators near Andrews, Indiana, in the Wabash River close to the Highway 105 bridge. No one was hurt but armed officers were trying to locate the critters.

Back in Florida, Tammy Woehle, 22, was out walking her dog, Lady, before dark, on Big Talbot Island, near Jacksonville, when an 8-foot-long alligator attacked her, according to a report from July 9, 2001. The gator grabbed and ripped part of the muscle out her leg, and pulled her to the ground. The news accounts almost made you feel the gator was a sneaky bastard because it crept up to her as she stood on a sandy beach, away from the water’s edge and away from high grass. She escaped with a six-inch wound on her thigh. Before the attack, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission had held a news conference to calm the public. They had noted that the seven alligator attacks in Florida in 2001 were slightly below average. Talk about bad public relations timing. The media would have nothing to do with it. The Woehle attack was widely reported, and it was clear to the public, from what they were hearing in the press, this was a dangerous summer. Then drumbeats announced that a much more sinister danger was lurking just offshore.
A few pages later, I wrote:
Ellen Steele, 81, heard the screams of her 81-year-old husband Robert on September 11, 2001, and couldn’t do anything to save him. But most people never heard about Robert, and how an 11-foot-long alligator near Sanibel, Florida, fatally attacked him as he walked his dog that day. There was something much larger on the media horizon that day. On September 11, 2001, four jet airliners, with Flight 11 being the first, were involved in the largest single homicidal-suicidal effort in history to bring bloodshed, death, and terror to the core of American society.

Media Shouts, "America's Deadliest Mass Shooting" (Pulse Shooting: 12 June 2016; 49 Dead)

Orlando Pride is the name of Orlando, Florida's national professional women's soccer team, to first play in 2016.

Death toll...20, 50, 59 (Orlando Fire Dept), 50 (Orlando Police Dept)...

"Orlando authorities revise death toll to 49; previous number included terrorist."~ Jake Tapper, CNN

Injured...42, 53...

When the media proclaims and leads their stories with announcements that the 6.12.2016 Pulse shooting is "America's deadliest mass shooting," and variants like that, they are setting up the next act of violence.

The psychological need to increase and compete in the body counts is a media-driven phenomenon. I discussed this in my book, and throughout my writings for a dozen years.

Robert Damon Schneck shares the following from Instapundit:

A selfie of the terrorist.

Fifty-nine were killed, 53 have been hospitalized, and the shooter was killed.

Breaking: Local and federal law enforcers noted at a 7:15 am Orlando news conference that there were "multiple fatalities," perhaps as many as 20 dead. Reportedly 42 injured were sent to the local hospitals. The gunman may have had Islamic terrorist "leanings," according to the FBI spokesperson.

Omar Mir Seddique (or Saddiqui) Mateen has been named as the gunman who killed as many as 20 people and wounded 40 others at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, CBS and NBC News reports. He was later killed by police after taking hostages at the LGBT club. Mateen, 29, is a U.S. citizen from Port St. Lucie, Florida, according to CBS News. He has ties to radical Islamic ideology, CBS reports.

Both of Mateen’s parents are originally from Afghanistan, according to CBS News.

Mateen was born in New York, NBC News reports.

He was married in 2009, public records show. It is not clear if he was still married at the time of the attack.

Mateen is a registered Democrat who has also lived in Fort Pierce, Florida, according to online records.

Florida Senator Bill Nelson says, according to intelligence committee staff, Mateen has ties to ISIS.

Mateen called 911 at the time of the attack to pledge allegiance to ISIS, a U.S. official tells CNN, and mentioned the Boston bombers in the call. He had been investigated by the FBI in the past for possible ties to Islamic extremism, officials say, but there was no evidence to charge him with anything. ISIS sympathizers have praised the attack on jihadi forums.

The day after singer Christina Grimmie died from an Orlando shooting, a Florida gay club in the same city has erupted in gunfire. The Orlando club named Pulse was the 2 a.m. target of a long-gun attack and possible hostage situation early Sunday, June 12,  2016.

Multiple injuries are reported. "Mass casualty situation" is what it is being called. Some reports said 250 have being hit, with at least 42 have been sent to hospitals.

"Everyone get out of Pulse and keep running," the club posted on its Facebook page.

Pulse describes itself as "the hottest gay bar" in the heart of Orlando. Hours before the shooting, the club urged partygoers to attend its "Latin flavor" night Saturday.

Ricardo Negron Almodovar said he was in the club when the shooting started about 2 a.m.
"People on the dance floor and bar got down on the floor and some of us who were near the bar and back exit managed to go out through the outdoor area and just ran," he posted on the club's Facebook page.

Police conduct "controlled explosion" outside Orlando nightclub Pulse, scene of shootings.

Reports of a someone with a gun, a long gun, holding hostages are coming in. At almost 6 am, CNN says the shooter has been found dead inside the club. He had been holding several people hostage. Thirty hostages were freed when the police shot the gunman dead, at 5:00 a.m.

Police are holding updates at Orange and Gore, near Pulse.

Pulse is located at 1912 S Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32806, which is four miles from The Plaza Live, where the Christina Grimmes shooting occurred on June 10, 2016.

This is the beginning of a month of gay Pride events that are celebrated with parades and parties throughout the various gay communities in the USA.

The New York police raid that took place in the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn (a gay club), located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, resulted in the “Stonewall riots” and ultimately, to the Gay Pride movement.

Other notable June 12 events:
