Clown x Waffle House: Atlanta Shooting

It appears the sync threads of "clowns" and "Waffle Houses" have merged. Now if we can only discover some of the names of those involved.

A gunman involved in a robbery reportedly wearing a golden "angry clown" mask shot a Waffle House patron in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.

A man was shot and several customers were robbed at a Waffle House location on Northside Drive near the intersection with 14th Street in Midtown at 6:00 am, Tuesday morning.

Witnesses say the suspect came into the restaurant and went into the restroom. He later emerged wearing an "angry clown" mask and proceeded to rob several patrons and employees at gunpoint.

The suspect then grabbed a cash register off of a counter and grabbed the keys to a vehicle of one of the robbery victims. As he was leaving, one of the robbery victims went to a window and the suspect fired a shot, striking the man in the neck. The victim was alert, conscious and breathing when officers arrived and was able to speak with them.

The suspect, only described as a black male wearing a dark-colored hoodie with tan pants, then fled the scene in the stolen white Mercury Grand Marquis which was later recovered in the area of 9th and Curran streets.

Clowns Rob Walgreens

Two men wearing clown masks held up a Queens pharmacy at gunpoint on Tuesday morning, May 22, 2018, reported CBS New York.

Police said the suspects walked into the Walgreens on Rockaway Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. and pointed a gun at the security guard. They rounded up the employees, ransacked the place and stole two sacks filled with prescription drugs.

The men took off in a black BMW waiting outside and went east on Rockaway Boulevard. The suspects were described as Hispanic men in their 20s.

Police later found two duffle bags filled with oxycodone, morphine, Percocet and Adderall left outside a building on Hendrix Street in Brooklyn. Investigators believe those were some, but not all, of the drugs taken during the robbery.

Today's Tuesday clown robbery at a New York Walgreens closely matches the Tuesday, October 4, 2016 clown robbery at a Detroit Walgreens.

CBS Detroit reported that police were searching for a suspect who robbed a drug store at gunpoint — while wearing a scary clown mask. The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at the Walgreens on West and Telegraph roads in Brownstown Township, Detroit, Michigan.

According to police, the suspect entered the store with his gun drawn and demanded cash.

“He had on a black hoodie pulled over his head, a white clown mask underneath and dark colored pants,” Deputy Chief Robert Matthews said.

The suspect made off with $300 to $400 cash, fleeing the scene in a blue Chevy Impala.

Manila Attack

At least 36 people died in the Philippines when Resorts World Manila, an upscale hotel and casino complex, was attacked in the early hours of June 2, 2017, Friday morning, local time. AP reports that a Philippine operative of ISIS claimed responsibility, but police say the attack was not linked to terrorism.

The suspect was described as Causacian and foreign. He attempted self-immolation and then died by  gunshot.

ISIS claimed the suspect was one of its soldiers. Police said it was a robbery. Body count is mounting. All deaths, except of the suspect, were tied to smoke inhalation.
