3 Dead in San Bernadino

There is a difference between domestic violence situations (compounded by violence against women), gang violence, and traditional school shootings and violence. That said, nowadays, the mainstream media, through the overuse of labels like "breaking news" and "school shootings" stimulate the copycat factor, behavior contagion. 

Today, April 10, 2017, we saw an incident of domestic violence, a murder-suicide involving two indivuals who were formerly married, end with a bystander being killed. Because the setting was in a special needs classroom, the media reported this as yet another "school shootings."

It was not a classic school shooting. The shooter was not a current nor former student. The intended  targets were not students, administration, coaches, nor a person in power over a student. The murder-suicide people were former partners, both adults.

Nevertheless, the media rang the "breaking news school shooting" bell also immediately.

It took place in an elementary school in San Bernardino, California. Cedric Anderson, 53, brought a high caliber revolver into the school, looking for his estranged wife, Karen Elaine Smith, also 53.

Happier days.

Children were standing behind Smith when Anderson opened fire.  Two were struck. 

Anderson killed his ex-wife, killed 8 year Jonathan Marin, and wounded a 9 year student and some other teachers. Then Anderson turned the gun on himself, and died by suicide.

During the shooting, fifteen students and two adult teacher assistants were also in the classroom.

Anderson gained access to the school (with his concealed gun) as a legitimate visitor who was stopping by in order to “drop something off with his wife.” He kept his weapon hidden until he entered the classroom when he opened fire.

On December 2, 2015, 14 people were killed and 22 others were seriously injured in a terrorist attack consisting of a mass shooting and an attempted bombing at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California.

In the wake of an atmosphere of terrorist attacks, car rammings, and church bombings, plus media reinforcements of the notion this was a "school shootings," I would not be surprised to hear of another violent event linked to a school next Monday.

Be aware, be safe.

A Date to Watch: August 5, 2016

Update on 7.27.16: Various items in the universe are aligning for August 5, 2016.

It is the 300th anniversary of the Battle of Petrovaradin or Peterwardein, a decisive victory for Austrian forces in the war between Habsburg Monarchy of Austria and the Ottoman Empire of August 5, 1716, at Petrovaradin (then part of Military Frontier, Habsburg Monarchy; today part of Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia). This was the beginning of the end of the Ottomans. After the war, a church commemorating this event was built on Tekije, on the hill over battlefield, and is dedicated to Our Lady of Tekije, also known as Our Lady of the Snows. The church is special, because it has both Catholic and Orthodox altars and both Christian denominations use it. The site is a place of pilgrimage on every August 5.

After the battles that defeated the Ottomans, they had lost most of their European domains 300 years ago. Viennese bakers celebrated their deliverance with what came to be called the croissant, a pastry in the shape of the Muslim crescent. Take a bite out of Islam?

The 100th anniversary of the August 5, 1916, World War I, Battle of Romani, in which the Allied forces, under the command of Archibald Murray, defeat an attacking Ottoman army under the command of Friedrich Freiherr Kress von Kressenstein, securing the Suez Canal and beginning the Ottoman retreat from the Sinai Peninsula.

It is the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking ceremony of The World Trade Center of August 5, 1966.

The 2016 Olympics opens in Brazil on August 5, 2016.

John Hinkely, Jr., who attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan, appears scheduled to be released on August 5, 2016.

The film Suicide Squad will be opening in wide release on August 5, 2016.

Even close to my home, the Lumineers will be giving the summer's biggest sold-out concert (thousands of people) at Thompson's Point, Portland, Maine, on August 5, 2016.

It will be the first anniversary of the Antioch movie theater shooting of 2015, and the 4th anniversary of the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin shooting of August 5, 2012.

San Bernardino, Orlando, Dallas, Nice. It is a regular happening, mass deaths. The line of events is now long. It goes back for years. Lone gunmen, terrorist attacks, mass shootings, and even cars & trucks into crowds. What is next on the horizon?

Remember Friday, July 20, 2012? James Holmes opened fire on the patrons at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, just as The Dark Knight Rises began, killing 12 and injuring 70 others. The night was the premiere evening for the film. (See also here, here, and here.)

Do you recall the trailer that ran before the movie that night in Aurora? It was Gangster Squad, and it showed a movie theater being shot up with machine guns. That scene was later taken out of the actual film before it was released.

But the Aurora shooting did not happen in a vacuum. There were precursors. As I wrote a year ago, will the "Next Movie Shooting: August 5, 2016?"

What quickly followed was rather remarkable.

On Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the Grand 16, in Lafayette, Louisiana, an unidentified 59-year-old male opened fire on a crowd of viewers at Trainwreck. On July 24, 2015, I wrote about that in "Fayette Factor Hits Movie Theater."

On August 4, 2015, I warned of the anniversary syndrome with regard to the Lafayette shooting. 

We are coming up to the two-week anniversary for the Trainwreck/Lafayette shooting, always a dangerous window. The date for that anniversary - Wednesday, August 5, 2015.
People should watch out.

Besides Lafayette/Fayette, should we look to other "power name" locations or people*?

My 2015 prediction came to pass for August 5, 2015. I wrote:

On August 5, 2015, my recent forecast came true. Two-week anniversaries are significant. (And four-week, one month cycles, are, as well. That upcoming date is Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Predictive future forecasting is simple. What people do with it, remains problematic. At least, the copycat effect is now not disbelieved, as it was a mere dozen years ago when I wrote my book.)...
The predicted theater incident occurred exactly two weeks after a shooting at a showing of Trainwreck in Lafayette, Louisiana. The hatchet attack and air pistol shooting resulted in the death of the attacker and the injury of three patrons of the theater.

The movie that was playing at the time was Mad Max: Fury Road....

The 2015 event took place at the Carmike Hickory 8 Cinema in Antioch, Tennessee, around 1:15 p.m. The gunman at the Hickory Hollow Cinema, Vincente David Montano was allegedly armed with a hatchet, pepper spray, an Airsoft gun, and a fake bomb. He reportedly was wearing a surgical mask. He was shot dead by a SWAT team as he exited through the theater's rear door.
It happened on Bell Road, a power name mentioned here often. See also here and here....

But now, the one year anniversary will soon be upon us.

This is not "fear porn." This is using forecast to heighten awareness.

As I said on a recent 42 Minutes podcast interview with Sync Book's William Morgan (7.14.16 #235), people walk around in a fog. I am here to splash some water in some faces to attempt to prevent disasters. 

The movie Suicide Squad opens on Friday, August 5, 2016. Is it subconsciously broadcasting the kinds of messages to those who might shoot up a movie theater? Will it trigger the kind of shooting that we have come to almost (but not really) take for granted in the climate of violence today?

Suicide Squad takes place in a post-Superman world, following the events of Dawn of Justice, as the government grapples with how to respond the next time an alien visits Earth with less noble intentions than the Man of Steel. The answer, according to ruthless intelligence officer Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), is to recruit society’s most vile criminals, armed with lethal skills and superhuman powers. Her first target is possessed archaeologist June Moone/Enchantress (Cara Delevingne).
Waller’s program doesn’t get a green light, though, until Midway City is threatened by a powerful mystical enemy, and Waller needs to activate the whole squad of prisoners. The baddies get a break. Deadshot (Will Smith) has his Second Amendment rights reinstated, Harley (Margot Robbie) is carefully excised from her birdcage, Diablo (Jay Hernandez) is released from his own fireproof fortress of solitude, Boomerang (Jai Courtney) and Slipknot (Adam Beach) strap their weapons back on, and Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) is popped from his swamp. The one condition for their restricted freedom: Obey orders or die, a rule strictly enforced by squad leader Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), his samurai Katana (Karen Fukuhara), and the explosive devices inserted into their necks courtesy of Wayne Enterprises. *What names to watch?

In Jim Brandon's 1983 book, The Rebirth of Pan: Hidden Faces of the American Earth Spirit, he wrote, regarding the "name game":

I'm not talking here of such spooky tongue-twisters as H.P. Lovecraft's Yog-Sothoth or Arthur Machen's Ishakshar, but of quite ordinary names like Bell, Beall and variants, Crowley, Francis, Grafton, Grubb, Magee/McGee, Mason, McKinney, Montpelier, Parsons, Pike, Shelby, Vernon, Watson/Watt, Williams/Williamson. The Twilight Language of the San Bernardino Event

A Facebook executive told The Associated Press that Tashfeen Malik posted the material [her pledge of allegiance to ISIS] under an alias account at 11 a.m. Wednesday. That was about the time the first 911 calls came in and when the couple were believed to have stormed into the San Bernardino social service center and opened fire.
The executive spoke on condition of anonymity because this person was not allowed under corporate policy to be quoted by name.
The company discovered the Facebook account Thursday. It removed the profile from public view and reported its contents to law enforcement.

Was there a Manchurian Candidate situation in play on December 2nd? Look at the above photo.

I wrote about the Manchurian Candidate Sirhan Bishara Sirhan (probable preprogrammed RFK assassin) in the Steamshovel Press, on June 6, 2002.

In that 2002 essay, I mention how the mainstream media demonstrates an easy acceptance of the "lone nut" and other psychological explanations when a deeper involvement between individuals may be occurring. I call for more "connecting the dots." As noted, Europe laughed at America when JFK was assassinated because few would investigate the multiple person involvement in the planning of that killing.

I share this:

When in America will we understand that to employ the word "conspiracy" in context is not a sin, but actually might be a survival technique we need to learn? It might actually be of benefit if the general public did not whole-heartedly take everything in from the media without a bit more critical thinking along lines of analysis that may be seen as too alternative, in former years.

The San Bernardino shootings will be analyzed by humans for years.

With all due respect to the victims, their families, and friends, let's look at some of the initial thoughts, via the twilight language, behind a few of the names and places issuing from this incident.

The youngest victim of the massacre:

- Aurora Godoy, 26, San Jacinto

Aurora Godoy = dawn of the gods = Götterdämmerung = Ragnarök.

Looking at the Aurora, Colorado, shootings, it became obvious that the "red dawn" expressed in that incident was worthy of some thought. Here, coming from assassins in Redlands, by "coincidence," an unfortunate victim, Aurora, was picked. And another Aurora shows up in the descriptions.

Harry "Hal" Bowman, 46, was a Ph. D. from Pennsylvania, a statistical analyst for healthy communities for the County Department of Public Health, and one of the earliest contributors to CREATE, a USC center that studies national security and terrorism. Bowman was a father of two daughters, ages 11 and 15, family member Bill Kraft of Aurora, Illinois, told the Los Angeles Times.

Juan Espinoza = thorny warrior = Thor.

Espinoza came to the U.S. from Mexico when he was in his 20s and graduated from California State University, San Bernardino campus. "He was an honest, fair and hardworking man," daughter, 25-year-old Jerusalem Espinoza told New York Daily News.

Michael Wetzel

Wetzel is a rare name that I wrote about in the 1970s, which appears to surface in unusual situations. Wetzel is a Germanic name derived from warn, "guard," combined with hair, "army."

The shooters:

Farooq (also transliterated as Farouk, Farook, Faruk, Faroeq, Faruq, or Farouq; Arabic: فاروق, Fārūq ) is a common Arabic given and family name derived from an honorific of Umar, an early Muslim leader. Al-Farooq literally means, "the one who distinguishes between right and wrong." Sent in by RS. 

Sayyid (also spelled "Seyd", "Syed", "Sayed", "Sayyed", "Saiyid", "Seyed" and "Seyyed") (pronounced [ˈsæjjɪd], or [ˈsæjjed], Arabic: سيد; meaning Mister) (plural Sadah Arabic: سادة, Sāda(h)) is an honorific title denoting males accepted as descendants of the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his grandsons, Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali, sons of Muhammad's daughter Fatimah and his son-in-law Ali (Ali ibn Abi Talib). The locations: 

Redlands translates, of course, into "land that is red."

In the 1880s, the arrival of the Southern Pacific and Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroads, connecting Southern California to San Francisco and Salt Lake triggered a land boom, with speculators such as John W. North flooding the area now known as the Inland Empire. North and others saw the area, with its hot, dry climate and ready access to water as an ideal center for citrus production. The city of Redlands was soon established by Frank E. Brown, a civil engineer, and E. G. Judson, a New York stock broker, to provide a center (along with North's nearby settlement at Riverside) for the burgeoning citrus industry. San Bernardino

The name of San Bernardino is for Saint Bernardino of Siena, O.F.M. (also known as Bernardine; 8 September 1380 – 20 May 1444) was an Italian priest, Franciscan missionary, and is a Catholic saint. He is known in the Roman Catholic Church as “the Apostle of Italy” for his efforts to revive the country's Catholic faith during the 15th century. His preaching was frequently directed against gambling, witchcraft, sodomy and usury - particularly as practiced by Jews. ~ Wikipedia

The jargon

The wall-to-wall coverage of the San Bernardino shootings revealed the heavy use by the media and the news consultants shown on the news networks of a fully developed overt language being employed.

"Active shooters"

"Active killer" or "active shooter" names a type of mass murder marked by rapidity, scale, randomness and often suicide as well. The phenomenon is exemplified by the 1999 Columbine High School massacre, the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting, the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the 2014 shootings at Parliament Hill, Ottawa, the 2015 Umpqua Community College shooting, and many others. ~ Wikipedia

"Actors"

Hardly a conspiracy or evidence of anything. This is cop-speak, and it has been evolving rapidly with pseudo-military, pseudo-war-game jargon. Just like "active shooter," the use of "actor" in the "theater of war," or during a "school shooting," or via any number of "scenarios" of confrontations has been in use for a few years. It is not evidence of a "false flag," but of the militarization of local police actions.

Overused by the media to describe an event they do not understand yet.

San Bernardino Shooting: Updated

The two suspects killed in a gunfight with police after a mass shooting in San Bernardino were Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, said San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan.

Burguan said police are now "pretty comfortable" that Farook and Malik were the only shooters involved in the massacre that left at least 14 people dead at the Inland Regional Center. Police earlier suggested there were three shooters.

Farook, 28, and Malik, 27, were husband and wife.

Was it just "workplace violence," as seems to be part of the scenario now?

Farook, an American citizen, was an environmental health specialist with the San Bernardino County health department, which was hosting the holiday party at Inland Regional.

He had worked there for five years.

In an online profile, he described himself as a "22-year-old Muslim Male living in USA/California/riverside. Religious but modern family of 4, with 2 girls and 2 boys."
He "enjoys working on vintage and modern cars, reads religious books, enjoys eating out sometimes. Enjoys travelling and just hanging out in the back yard doing target practice with his younger sister and friends," his profile read.
Farook's brother-in-law Farhan Khan was crushed at the news.
"I have no idea why he would he do something like this. I have absolutely no idea. I am in shock myself," Khan said. "I don't have words to express how sad and how devastated I am." Source.

BTW, there was another multiple shooting on December 2, 2015, which happened before the San Bernardino event.    

A gunman in Savannah, Ga., shot four people early Wednesday, killing a woman and injuring three men. Around 1:30 a.m. shots were fired in the 100 block of West 33rd Street near Barnard Street. One victim went to a nearby fire stations for help. Police found the other three other victims on West 33rd. Three men were taken to the hospital in stable condition. The fourth victim, a woman, died. Source.

Earlier....

Reportedly, the SUV has Utah plates.

The San Bernardino Fire Department is responding to accounts of multiple (20+) victims in a San Bernardino shooting, where allegedly several shooters were being reported started around 11 a.m. Someone pulled a fire alarm. Then the shooting began. Some eyewitnesses said a county officials event was occurring, in a conference hall (with a banquet?), and the gunmen entered the conference event and shot individuals attending.

Nearby practicing SWAT teams answered the reports immediately, and some of them (one with a Masonic ball cap) were interviewed by media.

There were one to three suspects, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department tweeted, citing the police department. Eyewitnesses described three gunmen who were wearing masks with body armor, carrying long guns, who entered shooting and left in a SUV.

News sources are reporting 14 dead, and 17 injured.

Reports that a Planned Parenthood is "around the corner" is incorrect. The nearest Planned Parenthood is a few blocks away, and personnel there report they were not involved in this shooting.

The shooting occurred at the Inland Regional Center,1365 S Waterman Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92408, a facility for people with developmental disabilities. Nearly 670 staff work at its facilities in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, providing services to more than 30,200 people.

It aims to "work on a personal, one-on-one basis with people with developmental disabilities to make their lives better as they define it."

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department tweeted that the "active shooter [was] in the area of Orange Show Rd/Waterman Ave near Park center."

Redlands.

The city of Redlands appears to be the hometown of the two shooters. Redlands is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States, with a 2010 population of 68,747. Redlands is ten miles east of downtown San Bernardino.

In the 1880s, the arrival of the Southern Pacific and Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroads, connecting Southern California to San Francisco and Salt Lake triggered a land boom, with speculators such as John W. North flooding the area now known as the Inland Empire. North and others saw the area, with its hot, dry climate and ready access to water as an ideal center for citrus production. The city of Redlands was soon established by Frank E. Brown, a civil engineer, and E. G. Judson, a New York stock broker, to provide a center (along with North's nearby settlement at Riverside) for the burgeoning citrus industry. They named their city “Redlands” after the color of the adobe soil.

Pharaoh's Adventure Park: 20-acre (81,000 m2) theme park which re-opened in late 2010. The park incorporates Egyptian themes, and includes a Go-Cart raceway, miniature golf, bumper cars, an amphitheater, and a water park. The park has been used in television filming, including a 2006 episode of C.S.I. Las Vegas featuring a rollercoaster accident.

Jardien's Dream, a young adult novel published in October 2009, takes place in Redlands

The Rocketeer, in the Disney movie version, has the heroine, Jenny, hailing from Redlands.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the town in Tamara Thorne's horror novel Bad Things is based on Redlands.

Notable people from Redlands includes Joan Baez (folk singer/songwriter), Harry Blackstone, Jr. (magician), Hugh “Lumpy” Brannum (Mr. Green Jeans on Captain Kangaroo), and The Tornadoes (a surf rock  band featured on Pulp Fiction soundtrack).

San Bernardino.

The city of San Bernardino, California, occupies much of the San Bernardino Valley, which indigenous tribespeople originally referred to as "The Valley of the Cupped Hand of God".

Route 66 runs through the area. Indeed, San Bernardino hosts several major annual events, including: Route 66 Rendezvous, a four-day celebration of America's "Mother Road" that is held in downtown San Bernardino each September. One nickname for the city is The Heartbeat of U.S. Route 66.

One official nickname is Gate City, to reflect its proximity to Los Angeles, and location at the southern and western end of the Cajon Pass, leading to the High Desert and Las Vegas, Nevada.

The name of San Bernardino is for Saint Bernardino of Siena, O.F.M. (also known as Bernardine; 8 September 1380 – 20 May 1444) was an Italian priest, Franciscan missionary, and is a Catholic saint. He is known in the Roman Catholic Church as “the Apostle of Italy” for his efforts to revive the country's Catholic faith during the 15th century. His preaching was frequently directed against gambling, witchcraft, sodomy and usury - particularly as practiced by Jews.
