Batman Dies

William West Anderson, born September 19, 1928, in Walla Walla, Washington State, better known as Adam West, died Friday, June 9, 2017. He passed away after a short battle with leukemia.

In 1959, West moved with his wife and two children to Hollywood, where he took the stage name Adam West. In his autobiography Back to the Batcave, he explains he chose "Adam" simply because he liked the way it looked and sounded with "West," his middle name. His close friends and family still call him "Bill."


West's acting career began in films in 1959, and he achieved his signature fame via the ABC series Batman (debut, 1966) and its theatrical feature film. He did voice work on The Fairly OddParents, The Simpsons and Family Guy (where he voiced fictional versions of himself in all of those animated series) and also Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.

West starred in an episode of the ABC Outer Limits series titled "The Invisible Enemy."

Producer William Dozier cast West as Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, Batman, in the television series Batman, in part after seeing West perform as the James Bond-like spy Captain Q in a Nestlé Quik commercial. 

Skull and Bones:

Batman was an intriguing series with a variety of synch-conspiracy angles, such as the one relating to Bruce Wayne's great-grandfather being a founder of Skull and Bones.

Bond & The Gemstone File:

In 1970, West was offered the role of James Bond by Cubby Broccoli for the film Diamonds Are Forever. West did not accept, later stating in his autobiography that he believed the role should always be played by a British actor.

As I asked in 2012: "What is the most synchromystic, conspiracy-laden James Bond film?"

The answer is an obvious one. It happens to be the cinematic expression that revealed Ian Fleming's leaking of the Gemstone Files, in one of the 23 Bond films that have been made through 2012: Diamonds Are Forever (1971). Read more here.

The 1966 Batman TV show inspired a local West Virginia newspaper copy editor, early in the 1966 sighting series of a large winged monster in Point Pleasant, to dub the creature "Mothman."

Jumping Deaths: Korn, Amber, and Onassis

Overnight, I received this tweet: "What's with all these people falling out of windows? Seems up your alley. ~ @consprcy_carrot."

Sometimes a little note may reveal a lot. Okay, I searched and found a few. Where they lead is surprising.

First and foremost, in the news this morning, is the suicide of Jeffrey Vanchiro, a popular Brooklyn Nets fan, who died Sunday, December 14, 2014, night from injuries he sustained when he jumped out of a second-story window at his father's house in Flushing, Queens, on Saturday night, December 13th.

Vanchiro, commonly known as Jeffrey Gamblero, was 38. He was one of the most active graffiti artist in the late 1990s under the alias "Korn." (Below is an example of his craft.)

Vanchiro/Gamblero is to be recalled as the one-legged man who was unceremoniously ejected from Madison Square Garden during a Knicks-Nets game in early December.

Those close to Vanchiro stated that the ejection took a serious toll on the 38-year-old’s mental health. 

“He was paranoid. He was erratic,” a friend told New York Daily News. “He was frightened. He was horrified. He was a bit delusional. He was having a lot of trouble sleeping. He couldn’t sleep at all. When he would sleep, or try to sleep, it would only take about 10 or 15 minutes before he would jump up screaming covered in sweat.”

Another jumping death that happened on Saturday night, December 13, 2014, involved a woman leaping from the 10th Street Bridge, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office has identified the woman as Amber Woodhouse, 24, of Lebanon. She fell into traffic lanes of I-376 and was killed.

Pittsburgh police said the woman apparently jumped from the 10th Street Bridge, landed on the Parkway East, and was struck by oncoming traffic, shortly after 7:00 p.m. She was pronounced dead at 7:33 p.m., according to the supervisor with the medical examiner’s office.

A witness told police the person had been hanging onto the bridge railing before releasing her grip and falling to her death.

Word of a third jumping death brings with it news from the names tied to the Gemstone stories.

Athina Onassis's horse was killed after a rare show-jumping accident on Thursday evening, December 11, 2014, at the Credit Suisse Grand Prix event in Geneva, Switzerland. The French-Greek heiress, who was riding the 11-year-old mare Camille Z, was unharmed, local news reports say. Yes, an 11 year-old horse dies on the 11th, in the Year of the Horse.

Onassis, 29, and Camille Z were competing in front of a full arena. After failing to successfully clear an oxer – a show-jumping obstacle that is both tall and wide – Onassis was thrown and her horse suffered a break in its rear leg.

According to the Tribune de Geneve, it required 45 minutes for teams to tranquilize the animal and remove it by ambulance to a veterinary facility where, after an examination, the decision was made to euthanize the animal.

A competition jumper since her teens, Onassis has been riding Camille Z in competition since 2013. The heiress and her husband, Brazil's four-time Olympic rider Alvaro "Doda" Affonso de Miranda Neto, travel the show-jumping circuit year-round while maintaining homes and stables in Sao Paolo, Florida and Belgium. The only child of Christina Onassis, Onassis inherited the greater portion of her grandfather's Aristotle Onassis's fortune following her mother's 1988 death.

At that time, Athina was 3 years old and her inheritance was believed to have been in excess of $1 billion. Fighting over control of the inheritance was a source of legal dispute for two decades, leaving Onassis, it has been said, with much antipathy towards all things Greek.

In April, 2013, she attempted to sell off Skorpios, her family's private island where her grandfather married Jacqueline Kennedy in October 1968.

Mainly known as the private island of the late Greek shipping billionaire Aristotle Onassis, Skorpios was bought in 1962 for 3 million Greek Drachmas. It was the site of his wedding to former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy on October 20, 1968 which brought the island onto international spotlight. The media went crazy for both the celebrity couple and the idea of private islands, and owning one quickly became the highest symbol of wealth and status. 

Skorpios (which means "scorpion") is tied to conspiracy theories involving JFK, Howard Hughes, and Aristotle Onassis. The document, The Gemstone File portrays Onassis as the main force behind the election of John F. Kennedy as President, and subsequently, Kennedy's assassination in 1963.

Furthermore, Ian Fleming's book, Diamonds Are Forever, is an overt fictional revealing of the covert Gemstone File. At its core, it is about James Bond observing the faking of the Apollo Moon missions while in the secret NASA base outside of Las Vegas. It is also about the use of diamonds to make a space-based laser system, one that could project holographic images into the sky. Bane/Bain Continues (Part 2)

Since the Twilight Language's Bane/Bain: Batman's Villain and Romney's Curse  was posted on 15 July 2012, the Bane/Bain dots being connected have exploded in the mainstream media.

Weird America's / The Rebirth of Pan's Jim Brandon forwards a comment with his insights linking a couple of the recent postings here:

Once again, your work-up on pop culture esoterica is fascinating. I have long cited Diamonds Are Forever to surprised Bond fans for the amazing spoofed Apollo 11 moon landing (the one with a Masonic flag inside Buzz Aldrin’s space-suit), having been aware of it since Billl Kaysing first broached the idea in 1976 (We Never Went to the Moon), long before Kenn Thomas and Childress. Downard might have called this tidbit “revelation of the method,” via Hollywood.

Their Gemstone theorizings on Onassis and the JFK killing are intriguing but seem a plausibility stretch compared with the far more succinct recent E. Howard Hunt confessions, which, if true supposedly, lead to Lyndon Baines Johnson and the shadowy coterie of Texas magnates behind him.

Speaking of Willard Whyte in Diamonds Are Forever reminds me that this may be a lower-level name of power or at least significance, if memory serves, though certainly nothing like Bain. However, it is also the curiously unused first name of Willard Mitt Romney, for what it’s worth. A Masonic angle with Willard Mitt Romney would come in with the “Mormon undies” that he presumably wears as a high LDS official. “The garments” are reported to bear conventional Masonic symbols and therefore have to be carefully burned when worn out.

Another aspect to the Las Vegas saga would be the heavy Mormon role there. The earliest American settlers (Spanish explorers seem to have hit on the name, which means “the meadows”) were Mormons in mid-1800s setting up a trading post on what Brigham Young had dreamed of as the Mormon Corridor to southern Calif.

Mormons have been active ever since. As the Wikipedia article on Las Vegas formerly pointed out ~ but which has now been laundered out ~ while it was Mafia money that built the first big post-WW2 casino expansion, that was deployed through Mormon banks. Also, Howard Hughes was well-known for having a “Mormon Mafia” as his personal retinue and 24-7 body-guards – much to the detriment of the supposed Onassis kidnapping scenario of Thomas and Childress.

What is most ironic is that the LDS church forbids gambling to its members, as meanwhile Vegas has one of the newest and most lavish Mormon Temples, dominating the skyline east of the Strip. And let’s not forget the curious episode of the alleged Mormon will of Howard Hughes, pursuit of which allegedly came all the way down from the Salt Lake hierarchy, attempting to take over the Hughes empire. This was entertainingly presented in the 1980
flick, Melvin and Howard.

Readers of this blog will be familiar with the fact that I have linked Texan Tom Slick with Howard Hughes, who were friends and lived in bungalows next to each other at the Beverly Hill Hotel. Hughes was in #4. It was in another bungalow there that Hughes kept his "third man" detail, supervised by his main Mormon man, Roy E. Crawford.

Records allegedly indicate that Tom Slick was the true first hidden funding partner of the Bugsy Siegel's and Mickey Cohen's initial casino in Las Vegas (the Flamingo in December 1946). While I don't see Slick in the Bond movies, with Ivan Sanderson being so close to Ian Fleming, maybe the Bond books just didn't want to go in that direction – or even mention cryptozoology (which was being used as a spy cover) at all. Hinting at the use of birdwatching in that vein, a la' James Bond's A Field Guide to the Birds of the West Indies (1936), was apparently overt enough for these old spymasters, I suppose.

What will be "revealed" in The Dark Knight Rises, in metaphor?

Gemstones Are Forever: Bond, Elrod House, Onassis, Hughes & JFK

What is the most synchromystic, conspiracy-laden James Bond film?

The answer is an obvious one. It happens to be the cinematic expression that revealed Ian Fleming's leaking of the Gemstone Files, in one of the 23 Bond films that have been made through 2012: Diamonds Are Forever (1971).

The visual and design legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright is to be found prominently in this movie. FLW-trained architect John Lautner's Elron House is one of the important filming locations, serving as the Howard Hughes-clone character Willard Whyte's "winter home."

Before learning from FLW in the 1930s, John Lautner's background was in Michigan, and he got his start in building at 12 years old. His family built a rural residence together, a cabin they named Midgaard, "a word from Norse mythology that described the home of mankind, situated between the land of ice and the land of fire."

Considering Lautner's Elrod (Old English for "noble counsel") House was built on client interior designer Arthur Elrod's 23 acre property in Palm Springs, California, in 1968, and the film was released in 1971, the shooting occurred soon after the house was constructed. 

The following three images are from the Elrod House in Diamonds Are Forever. The House is the focus of Bond's meeting with the two female guards – Thumper and Bambi – who are the precursor characters for future acrobatic sci-fi fight sequences (including those seen in Blade Runner and Kill Bill). It is also the location of Bond's release of the "real" Willard Whyte character.

The Internet has many recent photos, including the following, of Lautner's masterpiece, as well as the floor plans, because the Elrod House has been up for sale for a bit under 14 million dollars for a few years.

The Elrod House is a "gem" and thus a metaphor for the entire underlying, less than subtle theme, so apparent in the title of this film, Diamonds Are Forever. But do not fool yourself, these are hardly ordinary gemstones.

A detailed analysis of Diamonds Are Forever is included in David Hatcher Childress' chapter, "James Bond & The Gemstone File" (pages 69-90), contained in Inside the Gemstone File: Howard Hughes, Onassis & JFK by Kenn Thomas and David Hatcher Childress (Kempton, Illinois: Adventures Unlimited Press, 1999). Here is one short selection from the greater chapter [with a few comments added by me]:

In the filmed story of Diamonds Are Forever, the plot remarkably parallels The Gemstone File years before the Skeleton Key to the Gemstone File was ever circulated. The plot begins in the diamond fields of South Africa, as in Fleming's original book [1956], but soon diverges from the book to bring in elements of The Gemstone File and the Mafia/Las Vegas/Area 51 entanglement.

Bond is assigned to follow a trail of diamonds from South Africa to Amsterdam and then to Las Vegas where he is confronted by the Mafia. In one scene, James Bond sneaks into a secret facility in the Nevada desert outside of Las Vegas. This facility is the location of Mercury, the exit off that interstate highway leading to Area 51, the top secret space facility in south central Nevada rumored to house flying saucers and alien technology. 

 

Once inside the facility, Bond pretends to be a worker in a lab coat and walks into a room where a German engineer is in charge. The man is clearly meant to be Werner von Braun. After witnessing the faking of the Apollo Moon missions, Bond steals the lunar rover and escapes into the desert. Does Diamonds Are Forever mirror the truth about NASA being part of a secret conspiracy? In the movie, the space facility and the Mafia are working together.

The movie, however, turns out to be the story of a kidnapped billionaire named Williard Whyte (played by Jimmy Dean of pork sausage fame), who is held in seclusion by [Ernst Stavro] Blofeld, exactly as [Bruce] Roberts claimed [American billionaire Howard] Hughes [sharing the double initials HH, just like Williard Whyte, WW ~ LC] was held captive by [Greek-born billionaire Aristotle Sokratis] Onassis.
Bond frees the kidnapped Willard Whyte and proceeds, with the help of Tiffany Case (played by Jill St. John), to attack Blofeld at his secret base: an oil platform either off the coast of Texas or California, the movie does not indicate which. [Yes, it does. The secret oil platform is shown off Baja California on a global map of Blofeld's empire, which matches the Onassis reach, btw ~ LC.] Bond destroys the oil platform but Blofeld escapes to reappear briefly in the 1981 film For Your Eyes Only when he is finally dispatched permanently. By this time, Onassis was dead as well.
Indeed, the parallels between Diamonds Are Forever and The Gemstone File are many:
*Willard Whyte is held captive in Las Vegas by Blofeld and the Mafia.
*Howard Hughes is held captive in Las Vegas and elsewhere by Onassis and the Mafia.
*Blofeld owns a casino named Casino Royale in Monte Carlo and has various "doubles."
*Onassis owns a casino named Casino Royale in Monte Carlo and Onassis has various "doubles" concocted by Onassis and Maheu.
*Blofeld owns oil fields and oil platforms. He is protected by foreign countries.
*Onassis owns oil tankers and has an exclusive deal with Saudi Arabia. He is protected by foreign countries such as Greece and Monaco.
*Blofeld owns his own island, high-tech yacht fleet, and private army.
*Onassis owns his own island (Skorpios), has a high-tech yacht fleet (Onassis owned many, many ships), and controlled a private army that allegedly went beyond the Mafia to the Marseille underground and the CIA and FBI.
*Diamonds Are Forever was about the secret NASA base outside of Las Vegas, and the use of diamonds to make a space-based laser system, one that could project holographic images into the sky.
*The Gemstone File is about synthetic rubies and their use by Hughes in laser research and Roberts' later use of these synthetic rubies as "gifts" with an attached "Gemstone Letter" that revealed certain behind-the-scenes activities of Onassis, the Mafia and the CIA to important and wealthy individuals. Las Vegas was the scene of Hughes' kidnapping and imprisonment, a city well known to be owned and run by the Mafia and their overt partners.

As Kenn Thomas and David Hatcher Childress theorize in their book, Inside the Gemstone File, Ian Fleming, a former British intelligence agent, used his books to unfold the secrets that he had discovered about Onassis and others through material that would someday be called the Gemstone File. Considering that several of the Bond books were published long before many of the events were exposed in the dots that have since been connected and then shown in the films, Fleming walked a narrow, dangerous path.

The Gemstone File is a conspiracy theory document attributed to Bruce Porter Roberts. In 1975, "A Skeleton Key to the Gemstone File" appeared and is generally attributed to Stephanie Caruana. The "Key" is purportedly a synopsis of Roberts' documents that presents a chronicle of interlocking conspiracies, including claims that world events since the 1950s were shaped by suppressed information, the names of supposed shooters of President John F. Kennedy, and suggested connections between a number of political assassinations which occurred within a relatively short time frame. Many of these show up in Ian Fleming's James Bond novels, and thus in the movies that followed.

The Gemstone File proposes that Aristotle Onassis, JFK's father Joseph P. Kennedy, and other prominent figures were involved in various schemes to forward a vast global conspiracy, involving the Mafia and corrupt politicians, brutal oil and drug cartels, rogue military operations, and more. It also posits that early in 1957, Aristotle Onassis had Howard Hughes kidnapped from his Beverly Hills Hotel bungalow; that Hughes suffered a massive brain injury during the forcible kidnapping, and that Hughes was subsequently a virtual prisoner of Onassis on his private island Skorpios and injected regularly with morphine, while Onassis took over the operation of Hughes's considerable financial affairs, including airlines and U.S. defense contracting. Post-Fleming author John Gardner would overtly title one of his James Bond books, Scorpius (1988).

Aristotle Onassis and Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis

The Gemstone File portrays Onassis as the main force behind the election of John F. Kennedy as President, and subsequently, Kennedy's assassination in 1963. According to the documents, Lee Harvey Oswald was a patsy in the JFK assassination plan and was linked to the Central Intelligence Agency, and to Mafia connections in Lafayette Square, New Orleans, with Jimmy Fratianno, Johnny Roselli, and Eugene Brading as the real shooters. The Gemstone papers claim that John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Joseph P. Kennedy were involved with the Mafia and Onassis, and when the Kennedy brothers attempted to break away, they were murdered. We know too what happened between Onassis and Jackie O, after the death of JFK. Wild theories and thoughts, perhaps, indeed, but then when connecting dots in conspiracy speculations, when are such not radical, raging, and rough?

"On December 20, 1947, Jacob Rubenstein changed his name to Jack L. Ruby by decree of the 68th Judicial Court of Dallas, Texas. The etymology of the term 'Ruby': (French) rubis; (Spanish) rubi; (Latin) rubinus, carbuncle….The term 'Jack Ruby' was once used by pawnbrokers to indicated a fake ruby. In iconography a ruby or carbuncle symbolizes blood, suffering and death." ~ from King-Kill 33 by James Shelby Downard.

Childress writes further in his Bond analysis: "Ian Fleming [at the age of 56] died of mysterious circumstances in Jamaica on August 12, 1964, of a 'heart attack.' According to Bruce Roberts, the 'sodium morphate' used by Onassis and the Mafia made the victim appear to have died from a massive heart attack….In August of 1964…Fleming was planning to fly from Jamaica to New Jersey to meet with Ivan T. Sanderson, a biologist and former British Intelligence agent. As a zoologist, Sanderson had written a number of books, including one on Bigfoot and Yeti, and appeared frequently on radio shows and even Johnny Carson's Tonight Show."

The late Ivan T. Sanderson (a friend of mine) was a Fortean researcher and author on topics including the Philadelphia Experiment, as well, a subject about which Sanderson appears to have been corresponding with Fleming.

Childress continues, "Fleming never made it to his rendezvous with Sanderson. He died of a sudden heart attack on August 12th, 1964 at his home in Jamaica…[on] the 21st anniversary of The Philadelphia Experiment (August 12, 1943)….Was Ian Fleming killed because he knew too much about such things as the Kennedy assassination, The Philadelphia Experiment and the genesis of UFO technology?"

We perhaps shall never know, but awareness of the world may be revealed, frighteningly, more through watching Diamonds Are Forever than turning in to the nightly news, where the selling of automobiles and drive-through-hamburgers is the goal.

There has been fifty years of James Bond movies. Much is unfolded in fiction worth our attention. The 23rd Bond film, Skyfall, will be released in November 2012.
